anyone out there have any brilliant ideas for a new color for my 360 CS? Presently it is black with a god awful flag painted across the bumper and fenders.. I am buying the car this week and it needs a new color.. can't decide between gloss black as it is now or maybe a matte black or something better.. it will be my dedicated track car
    thanks for any advice..

Black, black wheels, and two rosso barchetta stripes down the center. You asked, I told.

Sand it down to the bare metal and brush finish it. Who needs the extra weight of paint on a real track car. :) Run it in raw metal for a few months and then paint it. Looks like the prior owner painted the driver side headlights so plan on fixing that too.

A new clutch is about $5-8K. I think a new quality paint job would cost > $20K. I think you'd be better off looking at a car which you don't have to repaint it. Clutch wear would probably be less than 75% in most strads given that CS owners usually maintain their cars well.

Craig, I'm curious why a clutch repair pushed you away but a paint job didn't??

The hello Kitty paint scheme is always an option.

You might just beable to get away with painting just the front end. I know that sounds sacrilegous to most of you... but many people have the nose of there cars resprayed for rock chips. But yes a quality paint job is going to run you an obscene 15-20k. Why... the ferrari tax... its not like the shop has to pull the motor or even pant the trunk well. It drives me nuts people get these prices but whatever.

I agree this car is pretty fairly priced for a 38k mile car that needs 30k in work. would you we even be talking about this car if the were asking 120 but didin't need the paintwork? It has 38k miles... I wonder how close to an engine rebuild it is. I have seen many F-cars and lambos (gallardos, murcis) that need engine rebuilds with new rings due to low compression at about 50k.

just my opinion and I know its very popular to do this... but I am so sick of white cars with black wheels.... the good news is... if you painted it white you would probably have about a doxen offers for your car by the end of the day from people in Dubai hahahahahahaha

I think the rossa barchetta idea is awesome! a robinno would be great too... the other thing i would do is... and I know this will sound stupid to 99% of the people out there... but do a paint scheme like gto 3387. The NART colors. Do blue with the white stripe... if you feel you have to do a flag down the center... do a red white and blue color combo.

White with Black CS rims, and the tri-color stripe. :) Whatever your final decision may be, be sure to post pics of before and after! :)

I've had a dozen offers on my car but none from Dubai.......

If I were to do a track car I'd get skinzwraps to Zebra Stripe it.....but maybe Dubai will be calling with that color scheme as well :(
