    I believe it means your evaporator unit and passenger compartment aerating kit water pump, part number 70000900 at Ricambi is suspect or bad. You might try resetting by turning off battery knob for about a half a minute. Hope it works!

    Yep......an AC fault somewhere.......search here as there is lots of stuff on that, and other AC issues on 348's.

    Most times turning the car on and off will fix the problem, if not try the battery kill switch.

    E8 is the fault code for the electric water pump for coolant circulation to the heater core. As the post above indicates (in rather strange wording) the pump is Ferrari part number 70000900 (originally 61787900) and it isn't cheap, at over $400. Resetting the heater system ECU WILL sometimes erase the error code, at least temporarily.

    Look under the cover on the drivers side where the light fuses and relays are located, on the left hand corner you will see a round knob that says turn on off that is the kill switch.

    Make sure none of the wires have broken off the pins on climate control unit connectors... they break off easily and that caused an error 8 on my car.

    A little soldering took care of it permanently!

    Don't be so quick to flame tuff guy... I only have 1000 posts and I do own a 348...
    I also know that not ALL 348's have a "factory" kill switch... including mine!

    My kill switch is in the engine compartment, and was an "aftermarket" add-on.

    I'm not surprised to see someone ask about the presence or location of something that perhaps doesn't even exist on their car! Hence, they've never seen it!

    ahhh, that's not my point, I own one too... It just seems funny to me that someone who spends a TON of time posting on here, and invariably reads up on the battery issues would not know something like that. i mean, even "I" realize that the early cars have the battery in the back, and it's easier to remove by pulling the fender well, and the ground strap often needs replacing due to some kind of fuse or something, even though it doesn't apply to my car. since mine is in the front...

    Sometimes I think that people post just to post, with their +1's and such, and it gets on my nerves... But we all know what opinions are like, and I've even been called one on occasion. :)
