Hi fellers, Was just scoping out the Ebay 348s and came across this engine bay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1994-Ferrari-348-Spider-5-Speed-30k-Service-Just-DONE_W0QQitemZ330380370645QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item4cec3462d5 What is this?? I.e. What did the previous owner do in there?? Thanks, Scott
Supposed to be a high flow air intake system. I'd stick with the stock unit and go with a K&N filter.
Some people...well...maybe they should not have ventured into the Ferrari realm in the first place. Thanks, fellers.
In case you are wondering, high flows of hot air do not produce as much flow as alsmot high flows of cold air. What I see is two big scoops sucking out big gobs of hot engin compartment air, mainly the radiator air , some header air, and a small modicum of cool air from the vents.
Mitch: I was just scrolling down the lists of posts to state the exact same thing. What kind of moron would think picking up charges of intake air directly from the engine compartment would be preferable to the stock set-up with its air obtained from outside vents?
I recall when I first joined FChat, I saw a similar set-up in a different 348 and thought the exact same thing!!!
