Thanks Aardy, those are great! Bert, maybe we can get Tom S to post recent photos of 202.. Best, Dave
Thanks Aardy... I already saw them but for the other members it's always nice to see these old photo's. Regards Bert
Nice shot of what appears to be a 1965 Ghia at the Targa Florio: http://images.forum-auto.com/mesimages/538925/GS%20PUCCI%20166%20inter.jpg
wow the original corvette stingray in action... one of the very few corvettes i actually like... it looks so modern compared to the rest. what track is that? thanks for posting hf

A little side tracking perhaps but what is the tell tale difference between a Dino 246S and a TR59? Apart from the number of inlet trumpets of course. Could it perhaps be the dashboard, which is over the complete width of the cockpit in the TR?
No Targa Florio nor 1965 for sure but an interesting pic of Pucci / Faraco on a 166 Ghia in the 1951 Giro de Sicilia (Dnf). Car could be 049S...
It is 0049 S (four digits), see photo of chassis number. The XI Giro di Sicilia was held on the 1st April 1951. COPYRIGHT MARCEL MASSINI Image Unavailable, Please Login
It is exactly the same car as 049S but with a dark color (repainted?). Photos inside Marcel's book "Making a Difference".
No takers? The above link has now expired, but it showed a BBR model of the #34 car painted dark red with the second color as silver. This year I was fortunate to win a kit of the sane car by a company called Modelli Verona. The instructions say to paint the # 34 car "rosso and giallo", red and yellow. This is somewhat supported by an auction for a built old John Day kit of the car also painted red and yellow. Does a color photo of the actual car exist? If not, is there any concensus on the true colors? Thanks. Image Unavailable, Please Login
This is a nice one. Might be from the 1951 Giro di Sicili as well: http://images.forum-auto.com/mesimages/336526/1951%20ferr%202.jpg Has a front nose treatment similar to 0094E.
Wow, this Achivio Tritone has some impressive stuff. Take for instance 0086E-1951 Giro di Sicilia °440-Count Vittorio Marzotto, Paolo Fontana: http://images.forum-auto.com/mesimages/523991/GSPIT%20(2).jpg
Hi, I think you may be correct. The info I have for the Targa Florio/ Giro di Sicilia on 4/2/1950 shows Inico Bernabei and Tullio Picini driving a 166MM to 2nd place. I believe the race number was 413. This car is listed as a 166 Inter but looking at the other Ferraris competing and the drivers I believe that 049S is the correct car and the 'archivio "Tritone"' photo is of 049S. just one man's opinion tongascrew
3/4/1950 Targa Florio, tour de Sicile Inico Bernabei/Tullio Pacini 166 MM Barchetta T "0036M" n° 442 2em and 1er http://i493.photobucket.com/albums/rr299/Sport-GT-Monoplace/Ferrari%20Sport/1950-TargaFlorio-166MM-Bernabei_Pac.jpg
Very interesting indeed: Scotti and ? with 0094 at the 1951 Giro di Sicilia, probably the first appearance of that Motto bodied 212E.
Dear Mr.Branco, do you have pics of Sebring 70 (expecially of the winning 512 #21? Thanks, Alessandro
Ciao Alessandro, sorry dont have any of that year, I went on 71 and a friend went in 72 and just have a few other pictures of both years. branko
Inico Bernabei: Also a car dealer in Roma, from whom I bought my very first Ferrari, 0331EU, in 1959. Ed Niles, King of the non-sequiturs and master thread-hi-jacker.
It was on the 28th September 1959, to be more precise and the seller was Cesare Perdisa, son of Luigi Perdisa, resident at Via Marconi 16 in Bologna. Perdisa was a race driver and had been the third owner of 0331 EU. Marcel Massini
I don't suppose you could tell me where I left my screwdriver when I was fourteen? Just kidding, of course, but your database is truly phenomenal. I truly hope I need it to learn details of a Ferrari of my own some day. Ad Ed, it's all your fault
