I've just bought chassis no 13578 a 1977 car. Its currently red but wondered if anyone has any info as to its original colour. Interior is beige. Looked on the 308 gt4 registry but no info unfortunately.

    John,

If you go to the Ferrari Owners website and put that VIN into your Garage data, they will review Records and comeback with the build date, and OEM Exterior/Interior colors..

The printed Certificate is a second step but they confirmed all my colors as I entered that I owned the VINs..

Or you could pull door panels or floor carpet and look for overspray, but it's nice to have the OEM Paint Codes..

    HTH.
    Alan

OK thanks Big Tex. Did you mean the North American owners club? as I didn't think the UK owners club site had this facility. But I could ring them up I suppose, after all I pay £80 a year membership fees!

Send Jonathan Tremlett an e-mail at [email protected]. Give him the chassis number and tell him what you want. Almost certain he will have that information.

You want to register with the Ferrari factory website www.ferrari.com Then start the register as owner process. When they accept your registration your page will show the build information on your car; even if the Heritage Certificate is not available.

Just found out from the uk owners club that the car was originally grigio ferro or iron grey which seems quite an unusual colour.

3 GT4s? That works out at about 1% of the RHD cars!
