Countach, the ultimate supercar

For an example, if i had the money i would gladly pay $250K for Brian`s S2, on the other hand i would not pay $700K for the Christian Brix LP400, but #1120082 will easily be an $650K car after renovation in my point of wiev. I would not pay $1mil for an Red and Silver sills SV, but right Black and Gold sills SV would be another thing.

Just my 2 cents.

 

The work is a miss in my opinion also. If the act itself is in question; would the response be as negative if done by Calder, Lichtenstein, or Warhol who did the same to CSL's and M1's?

 

If you're asking me that question, when I look at cars painted like that, I usually throw up in the back of my throat.
A car is an unnecessary canvass.

 

On a tire subject.
Are there any available P7 sets? With 205's? Any Condition/age as long as they can be mounted and sit safely on the car for show.
My thought is after the winter to purchase a set of the Bravo replicas. I would then take my current P-Zeros and mount them on the replicas and mount them on the car as I plan on driving the car more. I would take a set of old P-7's and mount them on the original Bravos and put them aside (or on display)
Just being curious as to what an old set would go for and how often they pop up.

It just comes down to getting more and more nervous about the rarity of the Bravos and driving more. I'd be devastated if anything ever happened to them.

BTW, did I ever mention that I had an offer for $4000US for my set of Bravos?

NEVER sell the original bravo's!! not even for $10.000US!!! (sorry Emilio ) good plan to keep the originals safe and use the eurospares replica's.
I have a complete set P7 tires 205 and 345 from 1978 new old stock but these really are for display only.. just send me a PM if you are interested. price $10.000US ;-) or best offer ...

 

All i can say about the countach market: due of the financial crisis i had to sell 4 countachs, 2 QV's an LP400 and a S1, yes very painful (damn..) but i sold them for very good money and very fast. The right cars will NOT go down, how many LP400's are for sale at the moment and HOW are they.. from all LP400's build, how many are still really good.. prices like $100.000US are NEVER comming back, a good restauration will cost more than that.. I am with Joe, i think its a perfect time to buy, there is a bigger chance cars comming up for sale and you maight be lucky the owner needs money and will let it go cheaper for that reason

 

Emilio, its not possible to drive with the anniversario rims on your car, i can't believe the police still didn't stop you fot this... you need to buy the bravo style replicas and sell your anniversario rims to me , we have to speak about this...

 

I am not sure I can agree with this. The reality is that no one who is sane or remotley law abiding drives these cars at the limit of adhesion on a public road. Indeed most cars never are, never mind ultra high performance cars. taking this argument then we should all drive ford focus 1.4's!!
The pursuit of excellence and potential is what motivates this type of car design. If we can improve the car the feeling is there all the time. Whilst many owners wont notice any change it doesnt mean we are all the same.
I know guy in England who NEVER drives his QV above 50mph! Such progress may be wasted on him, but perhaps not all of us!
I like using my car and such a difference would be welcome as would better brakes!

Other people can equally argue that the cars should be left the way they are as their charm lies in driving a piece of history that behaves exactly as it did when it was made. I tend to be of this opinion and dedictate efforts of improving vehicles to dedicated track machines where changes can be well quantified using driver feel and a stopwatch.

Indeed, especially when these photos also feature the more mundane automobiles the Countach shared the roads with, earlier in it's life. Really brings out just how outrageous the Countach was, and is.

 

Market forecast predictions from Most are not worth reading. Everyone has
an agenda. If they wish to purchase, then they will say the market will
continue to soften. If they are an owner, they will be on the opposite side of that.
Aside from that though, I can honestly say that I have never heard an argument
Against supply and demand. Crazy.

People should be arrested for telling stories like this...

 

Many kit cars are titled as Lamborghini. Several things really look out of place, the front spoiler, the Countach emblem on the trunk lid etc. It would be nice to see some pics of the interior & engine.
