Favorite car of all time, and that is one of the nicest! I met a guy once that owned the oldest original GT 40 in existence. Chassis#3. seeing the car in person was like meeting a real live super hero. The guy raced it too it was no trailer queen.

I was able get the same car in black my senior year in high school .. a 1994 though. (that was back in 94). I crashed into a telephone pole.

Have fun ... but be careful. Even with a V6.

Thank you. Didn't think I'd like it at first, but after seeing it in person I don't think I would like the chrome wheels now.

    Nice car.

Rare one-and a very good corner carver in it's day.

    Here's another in my fleet:

    Yes, a '72 GS455. Turbo 400 and some hidden engine goodies-runs hard.

Ah, an F-body man. I've had a few over the years too. Damn fine designs. The most infamous of mine was one of my 455SD Trans Ams. I've got photos of it leading a large group of Ferraris at a club event at Riverside Raceway years ago. Learned the hard way about poor Pontiac oiling during high speed cornering. Returned with a custom Aviad oil pan and a few minor mods-that car was stout!(and much faster than the Ferrari I had at the time). Had it geared to run about 175mph at the Silver State Classic one year-unfortunately, it was the year the Testarossa pilot left the road after blowing a tire(killing his wife).
The final chapter for me with the Super Duty was entering it in the Mexican La Carrera road race. We were running a strong second overall when a lifter broke. Spent a few hours in the Mexican desert watching the other competitors go by and drinking Tecate. Good times. The car ended up being sold to a gent in New York that was going to restore it to stock.

I had a 70 Buick GS back in the day, we put a 455 in and the thing was a screamer!
I can remember doing burnouts for blocks...what fun :)

Very cool ride. My first car was a 1966 GS with the 401, and later had a '71 Stage One
Convertible. Lots of torque in those Buicks.

Sorry for the mis-identification. It's a beautiful car, don't get me wrong but after a little reasearch is in not powered by a Merc AMG tunned V-12?
