You're in your verison of hell...the Nutt-house...2 for 2 as Ole Miss coach and "There's just something about Houston Nutt's history of sticking it to a ranked LSU team...Just like he did at Arkansas in 2002 when the Hogs beat LSU, 21-20...Then, two years ago, the Hogs go into LSU and beat the No. 1 Tigers, 50-48, in double overtime, in what was Nutt's last game at Arkansas..." source: http://www.commercialappeal.com/news/2009/nov/22/nutt-always-finds-a-way-to-win/ P.S. Are you ready? Hell yes! Damn Right! Hotty Toddy, Gosh almighty Who the hell are we? Hey! Flim Flam, Bim Bam Ole Miss, By Damn!
Thoughts on his replacement? I mentioned in another thread that Butch Davis comes to mind but I don't know his deal at UNC. What about Tuberville? He has proven he can win in the SEC and at LSU he wouldn't have to compete against another big in-state school.
i hope those clowns go after nutt, especially after all the bad mouthing they do of him. they might as well though, he does own lsu...
Notre Dame and LSU will both be chasing after TCU football coach Gary Patterson... TCU has been breaking into the big-time ever since Franchione beat USC in a 1998 bowl game and later was poached by Alabama. Now Patterson will be poached. Frankly, TCU is winning under too many different coaches to be an accident...perhaps their athletic director is the one who should be poached, instead.
I just ck'd his bio and see that he is a Kansas St grad and a Kansas native. KU might be looking and Snyder @ KSU won't be around forever. That said, neither of those jobs has the allure of LSU, ND, and some others that might open but you never know.
Just for fun, no consideration of contracts, personalities, etc; just throwing names at a dart board with some rationale (e.g. Miles is from OH)... Kelly from Cinci to Notre Dame Miles from LSU to Cinci Davis from UNC to LSU Rod from Mich to UNC Harbaugh from Stanford to Mich Petersen from Boise to Standford a current asst. promoted at Boise Patterson from TCU to K St Tuberville from retirement to TCU
TCU has a new athletic director, Chris Del Conte. His first game was against Utah. He came to TCU from the perennial powerhouse (NOT) Rice.http://media.www.tcudailyskiff.com/media/storage/paper792/news/2009/11/12/Sports/Qa.New.Athletics.Director.Talks.Plans.For.The.Future-3829573.shtml The old AD, Danny Morrison went over to become president of the Carolina Panthers......Quite a switch.http://sports.mobile.msn.com/en-us/ncaafb/article.aspx?aid=10029254&acid=2&afid=&avid=87&pg1=1 Patterson is already the highest paid head coach in the Mountain West. TCU upped his ante last year when a few other schools came after him. I hope they can keep him, at least until our son graduates from there. I love watching his coached teams play. Pattersons record since coming to TCU in 2000: 73 wins-27 losses, 8 bowl appearances-5 bowl wins including the Poinsettia Bowl last against previously undefeated Boise State. Last 5 years in a row with 10 wins or more.......
Hate is a very strong word. I just think Nick is a money hungry whore. Right now I reserve the use of that word for Tim Tebow and Les Miles Just kidding on Miles, he can't help it that he is a idiot.
boys, this is way too funny to miss, its currently in the louisiana section.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmgu1cV2bpk
Was Miles lying or not about the whole thing? Poor guy cannot even find the words... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0B9kfnJvB6Q&feature=related
Sure blame the kid like Miles did. It wasn't half as funny as the one on the Alabama game from last year.
2009 Iron Bowl, the 74th, starting now. Right now, nobody outside the State, nothing that went before, really means anything. Here we go.
