Never watched the first one, so no idea how "it went down", chicks went crazy over the new movie. There was a girl on Facebook doing countdowns on her status.
Some of my employees were ranting about this last week. They were upset that this series is giving Vampires a bad name. They were particularly pissed that these Vampires "sparkle" in the sun instead of having the sun hurt them. One of them even started a "I hate how Twilight portrays vampires" (or something like that) facebook group. That said, the theater up the street from me seems to have been packed since the day this came out.
Such a stupid movie... Some dude that has one of the leading roles in it (i think the characters name is jacob or something?) lives a couple blocks from me. It's hilarious how he even thinks the phenom is stupid. Also, my two favorite twilight bashing links by one of my favorite writers: http://www.ericdsnider.com/snide/my-rejected-twilight-screenplay/ http://www.ericdsnider.com/snide/my-rejected-new-moon-screenplay/
Go hang out with him, just go out in public with him, and you'll be hot ****. Girls will be all over you.
My Friday night consisted of getting off work, going home, watching Twilight, and running to the movie theater to catch the late show of New Moon. My conclusion: Thank God I didn't pay for either movie.
I love all vampires, werewolves, ghosts, aliens, and super heroes. Especially when saving the planet. Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Vampire thing seems to come and go in 5 year cycles. Lost Boys/Anne Rice Buffy/Angel Twilight/True Blood Its the only horror sub genre with that kind of longevity.
actually going to see it in 40 minutes, I've read all the books since I read everything lying around longer then 5 minutes so would have rented it or gone to see it one way or another. If the third and fourth movies are anything like the books you'll appreciate the vampires for what they can "do" alot more then sparkling in the sun and running around tree-tops like the first two books.
