Price is about right given the fact that it has 22,000 miles on it. May not need any servicing. I would contact the seller and get a service history on it and check it over. Also, as so many have said before, get a PPI done!

WOW - I have not seen spiders that low. You guys may be right - I guess it is the "winter is coming" effect too.

E-mail the seller, see if you can get a bigger picture of the VIN.

Hmmm...a listing for a Ferrari on Craigslist. NOT the first place I would look for ANY car, never mind a Ferrari.

Did you expect the dealer to pay retail for the car?

That's a really narrow point of view. I've sold personal (nice) cars via Craigslist and other free sites. I also rented my house via a Craigslist listing. I have also used Craigslist to find a fair # of Ferrari's not listed anywhere else - guess what, there are just as many genuine sellers and scamsters as anywhere else (Autotrader, cars.com, eBay).

To each his own. Some may want to stick to paying a dealer full retail + for a used Ferrari while others will enjoy the thrill of the treasure hunt by employing the services of sites like Craigslist. Dude, a couple years ago, you could even buy a Picasso from Costco...makes buying a Ferrari on Craigslist seem rather pedestrian.

I agree about Craigslist. I have purchased and sold many items using craigslist, and since I always use my head and don't put myself in bad situations, it always works out fine. I NEVER invite someone to my house (only my office), and when I go to pick up an item, I always take someone with me. It can be a great tool for people who may be a little less computer savvy.

I simply hope he got a little love on the other side. The dealers have been taking advantage of the buyers for years. It is an equalizing economy!
