I turned the car rather aggresively round a bend, but definitely not hard enough to even go anywhere near the point of traction loss. Unfortunately, the bodyroll was so great that the bottom of the front bumper scraped against the road. Winston was in the car as well, and both of us heard an awfully loud grinding sound
Depends which one you buy... Problem is as others have said they lack the flair of cars with more than 3 syllables ;P BUT on the track they are (reportedly) untouchable.... the latest GT3 put the Balboni in its place in EVO's COTY... enough said...
Yes. I didn't know that there will be such significant improvement. Sound was the main factor but having the performance gains was a bonus!
If you really want the full sensory overload of a pure track car and the full drive experience, the GT3 does not come with PDK.... its only available with the third pedal and a wiggly stick in the console that moves around... not just front and back hehehe.
Mate, it might have been tire rubbing on fender wall.... would be very surprised if the front bumper scraped a corner and you were no where near breaking traction, and it was done on the roads....
Think none of the standard road cars with PDK will give you a true experience of what porker is capable of.... this can only be done with a GT3 or GT2 on the track..... really.... thats where it shines and you can start to look beyond the errr.... plain packaging.... grab a passenger ride with fongster one day on the track for a small glimpse of driving nirvana and smoothness... or me if you just wanna puke. hehehe
we already welcome you what... clever boy jon. that will be Saturday then! good on you bro. thanks for not ignoring an old man. i know someone whose plate is "want try 69", does that count?
gt3 - owned one for about 5 months. very, very precise machine. power delivery also very impressive. because it's a stick, you also feel much more in control in terms of dialling up that power. clearance is a little low (lower than 430) so you do tend to scrape the lip. good thing is, there is a rubber protector that is not expensive to replace. have no doubt that it is an awesome machine on the track. i sold mine because i couldn't live with it daily (no rear seats, stick, etc) and i got a good deal on a turbo. previous porker owned was a c2s cab; all 997's.
never owned either so hard to comment. i did own a plain jane 996 c2 manual - very poised and "pure" driving experience - bulletproof never breaks down- just get in n drive. gt3 is probably all this x10 but visually n aurally, lambo looks n sonds way more exotic- every drive is an occasion - got x factor. didnt like std gallardo because of " detached " feeling from 4wd so i assume rwd balboni must be much better - oh n i like the stripe
