its been a while since anyone has posted any P4/5 sightings. can we get a couple more pics before that baby is parked away for the winter or is it already too late?
She's still prowling the roads of NY. She'll be out this weekend. Dino Competizione was out last night. Driving that one through the cool NY night is a trip and a half.
I can imagine, i love driving at night. Amazing to think these cars are driven around NY, Ive never been but its just a great thought anyway!!
Alright here is something I've been wondering. Jim, have you had any major/expensive repair issues so far in the course of owning P 4/5? Or has she been fairly trouble free outside of regular maintenance? What is the maintenance schedule like on her(or maybe you prefer him?). Just curious - thanks in advance for your reply.
Nothing really. As we put on a lot of hard track miles we had to replace brake pads, tires and clutch at 4K miles but no issues that were "major". Maintenance is normal Ferrari stuff. PF built systems have no issues at all.
Jim, If you get a chance, I'm really curious how your 2-color LEDs work. When you get a chance... Thanks, Manny

Jim's understanding should be correct based on this part of the eligibility rules for Show or Display: Basically if there was a US Version, then any non-US versions would not be eligible. >8^) ER
Hey Jim, I was just wondering... as you own all the rights to the Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina, if (hypothetically) another Ferrari lover wanted to convert their Enzo into an official P4/5 then would you allow them to do it providing they paid for use of the design? Or do you quite owning the only one in existence? All the best, Andrew.
Looks like you're going to have to shop on the crappy replica thread for your new Fiero/Ferrari. There's only one Mona Lisa so why duplicate the P 4/5?
JG, what is on schedule for the first quarter of 2010 for P4/5? I am hoping to see the car one more time before I leavve the country.
Heck no, it's scandalous to put Ferrari badging on a Fiero. As for duplicating the P4/5, I was just curious as to whether Jim would order another one made another one is someone wanted one, or if he was happier having the only one in existence - it seems the answer is it will be a one-off. Nothing wrong with that... though, I can imagine the rush of bidders if (in the unlikely event) he ever decides to sell the car or the rights. All the best, Andrew.
This was fast!!! YOW in 1/43rd scale. Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo-Strictly 43rd revival model/photo contest-Chicago April 24th 2010 Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jim why not just go ahead and license a model? You know we would all kill for one. I know you were talking a while back something was in the works- did anything ever come of it?
Would you go after someone who painted a picture of your car?? If they are producing the model in large numbers I can see your point. If they are only making a few than Jim would be spending money on a lost cause, although he could maybe make life hard for them until the case was over. Not sure if it would do anything if the company were in south Asia or China. Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo -Strictly 43rd Revival model/photo contest-Chicago April 24th 2010
Have they ever contacted you at all?? I did hear of a case with limited production(very limited) models being considered art like a painting by the courts. Not sure how many he produces, but he should have atleast contacted you. Your not hard to find!! If you do get mad enough to do something I would really like the hear the outcome of the case, especially if the case is against a company in Asia. My guess is most of the sales are outside the USA.
