There has been a lot of hearsay in many different threads, now that Sauber's future is secured (link), we have another team to wonder about and I think it deserves its own thread to collect some information.
The central questions are: WTF are they, and where does their money come from?
Head of the enterprise is apparently a gentleman named Zoran Stefanovich, and Andreas quotes Roger Benoit who speculates that they might take over the Toyota team so Toyota can avoid the $150M fee. However, see link above, Sauber now has Toyota's spot.

In any case, Toyota says that it won't be selling its entry.

With Sauber accepted now, I would think there is nothing to sell anyway.

Google brings up a few bits of information:

    1) Zoran Stevanovic is owner of a Serbian aircraft company called "AMCO" and has apparently manufactured parts for smaller racing series. Check out their site presenting their projects:
    http://www.amco.st/index_files/Page919.htm
It looks as if they did some work for the German Air Force, which certainly requires a high level of professionalism, but that contrasts slightly with the background that looks suspiciously as if it came straight out of FrontPage and the less-than-perfect photos of the man himself (attached is a picture of said man himself). Other pages on their site show a rather impressive windtunnel and a collection of rather less impressive and less-than-perfectly translated business ethic rules.
The way they present themself is imho a very strange mixture of high-level engineering and web design gone wrong. Very strange.

    2) Even more interesting:
Of all retired F1 engineers, did they really have to hire the most suspicious one?! Interesting though that Coughlan is allowed to work in F1 again... FIA seems to forget their bans quickly. Any bets on how long it takes until Flavio shows up again... as the boss of Stefan GP? ;)

In the 70's and 80's, there were dozens of shady and half-brained teams that had raced in F1. Coloni, EuroBrun, Andrea Moda...etc.

I think any new team deserves a chance to fail.....LOL

Actually Toyota is trying to sell its 2010 cars. Interestingly enough they have no takers. Including USF1. Very odd if you think about it.

True. I was thinking that too. It worked with Sauber vs BMW. :)

If that's the intention then all the USF1 actions would actually make more sense.
