He stopped doing it, but Chappelle is still my favorite of all time.

I like Ron White. He's actually (IMHO) better on TV, because he has to tone it down a little bit. He's hilarious in concert, but very very raw.

I also like Jeff Dunham, I haven't seen him live yet.

Maybe I'm a bit too young, but the George Carlin I remember was just a bitter old man railing at the world. His earlier stuff was genius.

Not really a comedian per-say, but an undeniable comedic genius - Larry David.

George Carlin - not really a comedian. “Save the planet” was top commentary on the state of, well, us.

When my wife and I were dating we would go to comedy clubs quite a bit. One of the guys that I liked a lot was Rondell Sheridan. I don't know if he is still out there but he is pretty good. Mike Burbiglia and Daniel Tosh are good too.

Hands down, no competition, Robin Williams. I like others but no one can compare.

I find I quote him every time I say
"You can't have everything, where would you put it?"

Sam Kinison remains my favorite. His bits about the misery of marriage and relationships are timeless. The vulgarity of his delivery put off many people, though. I don't know many (any?) women that could stand five minutes of him. Maybe hit a little too close to home.
