V12's normally have an 8-10 year lifespan, although they launch different iterations along the way. I'm sure the 599 still has plenty of years left in it still

Yeah the GTO is supposedly a more hardcore version and directly competes with the SV. If I'm not wrong, 599 replacement is due in 2012.
