355 spider needed/deal on other one falling apart due to P.P.I issues

If a seller is refusing to take his car to the closest dealer if YOU are paying for the PPI, then run away--fast. There are plenty of 355s for sale right now--well, if you are looking for a great one then there are only a small few.

I wish your client was open to other colors as I am considering putting my 355 on the market after spending $20k to make it right over the past 7 months.

It's actually TdF Blu with Cuoio interior.

And it looks a million times better in person!

PS..To the OP...I just saw a 99 Red 355 listed in Ferrariads. Just listed today.

Yeah, I would have to agree with that. Tell your client to look elsewhere. As I'm sure you know, these cars can have problems that aren't easily noticed until a PPI is performed.

 

I don't think you will have trouble finding one. From my searching online there seems to be 10 Spiders available for every GTB or GTS.

 

I am on a 21-day business trip in Wyoming where it is -10 degrees and snowing (lol), so i do not have access to my receipts for all the things I have done on the 355.

Here is a short list:

Car is 1999 F355 Spider F1 with TdF blu paint and Cuoio leather on the bottom and dark blue leather on the top with a blue convertible top. Car has 24,500 miles on it.

New clutch and tires July 2008
All sticky pieces redone by Robbie
Entire interior Leatheriqued TWO times this summer.
New F1 gear indicator light with lifetime warranty from Ricambi
OEM Ferrari Euro CLear Corner lights on the front
Custom Car cover
Enzo Key
Ferrari leather pouches for the alarm fobs (one red and one natural)
ALpine $500 head unit with Cd and iPod cord run to the center console
Alpine PDX 4x100 amp powering $900 Focal separates in factory locations

All the following performed in June 2009:
30k service
New Hill Engineering tensioner bearings
New Hyper-Flow cats
Rebuilt headers by QV London with 25-year warranty
New Quicksilver SuperSports Exhaust (This exhaust is NOT quiet--especially at 8500RPM!)
I will include the factory exhaust in case you don't like the loud racecar-sounding Quicksilver.
New Porterfield brake pads (ZERO brake dust and NO squealing)
All four rear exterior lights and lense covers(the 4 red ones) are brand new and sparkle (all 355 light cases bulge out after years but I have LED lights in the rear now)

I also have all the books for the car and all the service records from Day 1 as the car was only serviced at Ferrari of Los Gatos, which is now Silicon Valley Auto Group.


I'm sure I am forgetting some things--oh yeah, just replaced the right headlamp motor at a cost of $700, as it quit working.

I am probably not going to tak the route of actually listing my car for sale. I would rather sell it to someone from FChat who I know will take care of it. I did the same thing with my BMW I sold 2 months ago.

So, I know that this is not a $50k car as I have had two FChatters already offer me between $54k-$59k for her. I declined both offers.

If I were shopping, $65K - $68K is what I'd pay for such a nice 355F1 Spider.

 

I do not have her listed for sale but I would be more than willing to entertain offers from someone on here. SHe is not an eBay car and I don't need to firesale her.

Perhaps sometime I will list her in FerrariAds...lol...you can see that I don't have a very strong desire to actually sell her. But I am willing to consider selling if there an FChat brother looking for a non-red (lol) 355 that is 100% sorted and complete.

I would have to agree with your price search parameters for the car, though.

Either way, gonna keep driving her as much as I am home! I'm only home Dec 24-26 this month. What are the chances it isn't going to be raining where I live in Portland...ha!
