    Got a mate here that is bringing in a red/black 2004 360 Spider F1. :):)

He told me 10 months ago he bought one from the UK and total costs are around AU $175K landed, complied, on the road. Getting it complied in Brisbane at the moment. :):)

The car cost him AU $75K from memory. Got a "good deal" he reckons. :):)

I havent seen the car yet, and I still reckon he is full of ****. Was supposed to have it here by September.:rolleyes:

My Mum talked to him 2 weeks ago and he said the car is stuck at the compliance place and he should have it before Xmas. :D:D

I saw him at work last night, but couldnt have been bothered to go and ask him whats going on with it. :p:p

I will believe it when I see it.........

He is going to regret that the first time that it sh*ts itself in Mt Isa. A million miles from the nearest SD3 !

Dont worry mate, I am ****ting myself at the thought of buying a 'newer' Ferrari here, one day myself. :D:D

Was talking about it at work last night actually, imagine one day if she doesnt decide to start?:eek:

It would only be a matter of time before I worked it out, but with an SD3, it would put you on the right path straight away. :p:p

This dude has money, but I still dont think he will appreciate trucking it 2000km to Brisbane one way to get it repaired if something happens. Return truck trip will cost him around $1600 on an open car transporter. An enclosed transporter will cost triple that I reckon. :p:p

But we will see what happens. I hope he gets one, will be nice to see another Ferrari driving around. Actually, I dont think he will drive it anyways. All poser with this dude, hence why its a 360 Spider and not coupe. ;);)

Yep, you're right. SD2 or SD3. Same, but different. :p:p

He IS getting an F1 too. I asked him if he knew not to reverse up hill in an F1 as it drasitcally shortens the life of the clutch and he gave me a blank look. :p:p

I then explained to him why and then he said he will more than likely park it in his garage and polish the ****. Probably wont drive it he said. I just laughed as I was walking away. :p:p

A nice bloke, around 50 yrs old that has ALWAYS wanted a Ferrari since he was a kid. Pretty much like most us here.:eek:

It is not just for diagnostics. You need it to actually fix a lot of things as well.
Trust me, it is a very bad idea to have a modern Ferrari in the middle of nowhere.

Not the answer anyway. You don't get all the software updates from the factory OR the training to even use the thing.

still need to be able to use an SD2 and the upgrades come from ferrari.........dealerships have the codes for that stuff, thats why they charge so much. I tried looking at one and for the mistakes to be made its better to use the dealership

He said for 150k you should be right providing we grab the car at a certain price in the UK he said the whole process will take 3 months from the day he starts it also if he finds the car and brings it in himself it will be cheaper , more money to spend if i FIND it because he has to do more work or something.

Since LCT isn't applicable to private car sales can you avoid it if you buy a car in the UK from a private owner rather than a dealer?
