Hello, Somebody reccomended me to exercise the top (full cycle) as a minimum once a month; when I did it today there were a couple of hesitations (the buzzer came on) I released the button and pull it down again and it continued working; this happened only when openning the top; no issues when closing the top. Is this normal? the temperature in my garage is cold (40 F). Can it be related to temperature? Thanks, Francisco
I wouldn't be doing this in the cold- I don't have a 355, but I think for any power convertible top it isn't good to open and close in the cold- the material is stiff and you are asking for trouble. Don't start the car either unless you intend to drive it to full oil operating temp- put the car on a trickle charger and resist the urge to "play" with it in the garage during the winter storage months.
EY?? I don't think that will do any Ferrari any good. I have my cars of the road during the winter in the UK for some 6 months a year. There is no way in hell that i will not start my engine in that 6 months of hibernation. I start my engine once every few weeks and bring it up to full operating temperatures. That way i don't dry out my rubber seals, and the engine remains healthy.
+1. I start the engine and bring it up to full operating temperature (that is until the fans kick in) at least once every two weeks regardless if I take it out for a spin or not.
