CRASH! I need one of these... Well, maybe not the whole thing, really, just the front 6" of it, up to the headlight buckets. Headlight doors and my hood are all okay. My frame rails are sticking out though...compound fracture!!! I have seen the front made of three individual pieces, on another Thread. Is there a vendor that does it all in one piece? What is the whole clip about $9K??? LOL! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Poor thing...... First, it was a big butt imprint... Then the Honda parked on it...... Now, I stuffed it under a Mitsubishi, of some sort.....I think I'll change the tires and brake pads ! Lost the Christmas wreath, too.........
Is this a recent development or did this happen a while back and you are just now catching it up? When was the last time you had all three of yours together at one location? PDG
Sunday in the rain/sleet here.....Christmas traffic near the Galleria.....totally my fault the other car was stopped at a light, just locked it up, in the road slime.... As I told the insurance: I DID stop, 6" after hitting them!" Thanks! Thats the whole clip, not a bad price either.....and a lower spoiler is always handy to have hanging on the wall.... It was damaged by the Honda last Halloween, so I've been banking that money quite a while....
Heck, I changed vehicles and went on the Franco's Party, to drink some champagne! The three cars have NEVER been together at one time.... That's my life's dream, all my kids and all my cars, under one roof.....probably at my Funeral Service.....LOL! Thanks it was just a fender bender.......I patted the young couple on the head, ripped off a copy of my coverage and wished them a Happy Holiday! *kicking Bass Pale Ale bottle into the gutter* There was a VERY striking brunette there, at Franco's Party.....she said I needed to 'destress' and gave me some sort of skin patch thing..... Mentioned her recent divorce, one kid, 26 years old...... I kept THAT business card! LOL!
I'll do a "quiver photo", like the surfers do, when THAT happens!!! Maybe add the two racing karts......
Speaking of SuperPerformance 'new' sheet-steel.....can you tell us anything regarding its quality/thickness/grade? I noticed that they stock lower-half door skins and other hard-to-source bodywork goodies, and I was thinking of picking up a set for a down-the-road coachwork cleanup.
Alan, Sorry to hear about the misfortune. I'm guessing this is also a good time to think about a full paint. Now you'll have to decided to go back to blue? was it? Or stay with the red. It's too bad, I thought the car had a great look and layers of patina even with the Honda ding in place.
sorry i can't only providing info. Overall SP supplies good stuff however so it would surprise me if this isn't at least reasonable quality
How bad is it? Could we go old school and have a Ferrari nose forming party. A keg of beer, I'll bring some mallets and an anvil, etc. I'm not an artist, but I can get the idea, created a lower fender for an old Dodge from scratch once.
Thanks everyone, it's really a "non event".... I'd imagine the panel from Superperformance is what my guys will need. But you are right we could just beat on it over some sand bags, until it looks right...but you just hate to have the fatigued metal in there, it'll wrinkle faster NEXT time! I talk bad about the Euro bumpers but this proved that with brakes on, the modern cars go right over the top of it anyway! LOL! That's a nice front end posted in the craigslist link...all my damage is strictly in the front edge though, both wings are fine...
Alan, Who was it that was sitting next to you and distracted you at the wrong moment? Sorry to hear about the mishap.
Late for the party....detailed it, then drove out into weather like this.....alone this time! LOL! THAT was a whole 'nother story, when I returned home.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ok, let me fire up the grill, and get my beer open....... It's just "mashed" somewhat....like when your thumb gets under the hammer! Really deformed the leading edge though...it even has part of a roundrel on it, like Napolis!
