    Tyres on, unfortunately.

Just masked them out, I will do a proper job when I change to dot rated tyres but for now these are not gold, and that makes all the difference for me....

I took my time masking them up so there is no sign of the gold but I will still do them properly later, might go a slightly lighter shade of grey...

    Thanks mate!!

Yep, me and a friend are doing the major, I will try to take some photos along the way, he thinks its going to be a 4 hour job, I'm thinking it might take a bit longer than that. Doing every fluid (ie, gear fluid, coolant, engine oil, break fluid) every filter, all belts and a full detail. Should be good to go after all that.

Fantastic!! Nothing like working on your own cars!:eek:

If you can do it, of course. :D:D

Have fun, I know you will. ;);)

I fitted new strut bar bushes to Nicoles Statesman today. ****s wouldnt cover it under warranty. Apparently bushes have to be "cracked or split" to be covered under warranty. Not worn out like Nicole's bush.........

    es. :eek::eek:

LOL!! She reads this, you know that right?? ;)

Yep, I love working on my own cars, something I have always done, probably why I have 120sqm garage...

Did the statesman fail a road worthy or was it knocking? Most warranties don't cover wear and tear, failure of the part is another story...

    Lol, yeah right. :p:p

    Very good sir! :D:D

I errrrrr, dont love working on my cars. But I love working on everyone else's cars!:eek:

No no, I swapped Nicole's Statesmans wheels out with my ute wheels to make the Gold Coast wedding road trip. Better off wearing out $100 17" tyres on my ute than $250 19" tyres on Nicoles' Statesman. And if you know the IRS setup on the Commies, they are ****ed and notorious for wearing inner edges of rear tyres. :D:D

Anywho, when I did the swap late October, I tightend the wheel nuts on her car and noticed some movement in the front wheels. Bushes worn. Just changed another mates same bushes out in a VX Commie a few months ago. I thought they were covered under warranty, but apparently not.:eek:

Booked it in last week, they looked at em and told me that. Was news to me. I told my brother who said the service manager there was just "being a poor ****". :p:p

Im mates with him too and he didnt look after me there. Also had a p/steering leak that was supposed to be fixed. They removed and "inspected the hose and hose clamps". Could not fault it, so they put it back together and charged me $144 for the trouble.:eek:

I said dude, WARRANTY................nope, that was "testing and adjusting" which isnt covered by warranty. What a crock of ****!:mad:

I can buy the hose for $20 and do it myself, if I knew that crap, I would have done that myself. :(:(

Today, while changing them bushes out, I looked underneath the p/steering resivior again and it was leaking again.:rolleyes:

HAS to be a ****ed hose. Pulled in there and told Brendan, he said bring it back. I said dude, dont charge me another $144 and NOT fix it. If they do, I may as well go and get the hose and do it myself.:rolleyes:

    POOR ****S MATE!!!!!
