Anyone got some spare valves?! http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/zsxkAPmgkEiHwrchpYdedA?feat=directlink
If Louthan is still around, he found a cheaper mystery car that uses the 348 valves, and he used to sell them to anyone with $40 in their pocket: (503) 390-8875 [email protected] If you can figure out that car, it would benefit us all!
For as much as it's gonna cost, I wish that I could just get one of these, ala Angelis! http://www.simpsonmotorsport.co.uk/bmw-tuning/product.asp?id=67&pid=67&cid=47&pcid=45&product=41
So....the more and faster you drive, the more you'll get out of it before it explodes! Yeeeeee-hawwwwww! I love it!
I am sorry to hear about the problem!! The same thing happened to my 355 a several months ago. I never forget the SOUND coming from the engine when it happened. It was not pretty at all. Good luck fixing the problem!!
Oh... its WAY fixed, and way better than ever. It busted in late November 06 and I think it was finished in mid January 07.
Hold on guys, in other threads I red that Ferrari exaggerates giving the time between major services been standard 3 years or 30.000 miles, whichever comes first, we all agree that more or less 4 to 5 years maximum ... unless the car is tracked. Now, in this thread I sadly recognized that this accident is actually happened to numerous mates already. Are you guys trying to really scare me to death ? I just passed 3 years from last major service on my 348 and I decided, following many Fchatters advices, to do it on the 4th year. My question now is ... am I looking for troubles ?
Trust me mate, DO NOT stress about it! If its gunna happen..............its gunna happen! I am going into my 7th year next year and im not stressed. If a tensioner bearing fails and ****s my engine, then so be it and I will worry about it when it happens! I also rarely drive my car. Its been sititng for over 3 months now.
