Thanks guys, that photo was from Saturday. Joe doesn't miss much. We had a great day driving the car. The original owner saw Bob Wallace doing the parade laps in the 1966 Monaco Grand Prix and decided he had to have one. He found the car (new at a dealer) in an ad in Road and Track magazine and had it shipped from Italy to LA. He picked the car up in LA and drove it home to Salt Lake City. He kept the car until he passed away, 90 years old, the car is mentioned in his obituary. I purchased the car from his daughter (through a broker) approximately two years ago. The broker I purchased the car from is a long time friend of mine. He has known of the car since it was new. The broker was ~16 when the original owner brought the car over to a neighbor; he still vividly remembers getting to sit in the car. Because the neighbor was a relative of the owner, he got to see the car periodically over the years. When the owner was~85, he told my friend that he wasn’t driving the car much anymore because it too hard to get in and out of it.

The car has most of its original paint (there has been a few touch ups over the years), all of its original interior and no rust (even the original muffler is solid). I have just installed (what I believe) is its third set of tires. Closely looking at the carbs I don't think they have ever been off the car. I opened up one of the distributors the other night, it appears to have only been serviced once or twice, and it is like brand new inside with the exception of some slight witness marks on some of the slotted screw heads. Overall it is very much a time warp car, not to the extent of the two Joe found, but it is in great shape.

    Cheers Jim

    Joe,
Upon your opinion, how many Miurasss are still "vanished" or considered as not recorded survivor today ? in another term how many cars are supposed to appear one day or another in the coming 10 years ?

Hard to say, but perhaps 10% are unaccounted for.

Uh-oh. Could be trouble. Perhaps best not to look, or your car's original paint could be in danger...

First time I have seen this photo. You do have spies everywhere.

Note it doesn't melt in the rain either.

    Cheers Jim

The best way to experience a Miura is from the drivers seat.

The 37th Miura built (3057) lives in California, and here Dean A who has owned it for over 30 years guns it along in a local rally.
