Photo from the late eighties, at Zolder, Brlgium. From memory, but I think this was/is Corrado Cuppellini's car? Image Unavailable, Please Login
The engine in this car is related to the engines we're discussing but I would think no major parts would be interchangeable.
That's a 256 or 246F1 from 1959-60, I'm sure someone can say which serial #. They were also 65deg V6s but very different to the later engines, 86/85x71 compared to the later engines at 77/86x57 for the 1.6 & 2L, and finally the 1968 Tasman version at 90x63 (2.4L). All sorts in between including a series of 2 cams at 60deg, and then the old F1 engine was used in I think 1966 for a Tasman car. Doug Nye's book 'Dino - The Little Ferrari' is a good start to look at them all. He lists nearly 40 different V6's between 1957 and the the 1969 246GT!
Here's a photo of 002 (206S), although I don't think it helps any. Originally fuel-injected, but changed to carbs by later owner Bill Schworer. 2 valves, I think. Image Unavailable, Please Login

Who can help me ??? Image Unavailable, Please Login
In 1969 Ferrari did test a Dino 166F2 engine at Modena with 12 intakes and 12 exhausts, 1 for every valve, but it was not raced.
Ah, it was a V6 with 4 valves per cylinder then (2 intake-valves and 2 exhaust-valves) for I see 12 exhaust-tubes... and 12 carburators (or 6 double)... that's complicated, now onder it never raced
