aaargh! it lives... guilty m'lud. which car were you driving? (btw, don't tell my wife about the hot chick in the car)
Dear All, I just had the IU of my C-Class from C&C replaced for the 4th time!!! Anyone else besides Des had similar issues? Any theories or quick fix solutions are most welcomed! Thanks, Ken.
Hi Ken, that's unusual. I had some that are probably 10+years or as old as the system is but no issues so far. Is this the new thinner version? Anyway, it's an LTA thing so they would replace or repair it FOC isn't it?
told ken that the last few cars i bought from c&c all had iu problems but once i got them fixed, was ok. either ken's having a really rotten run of luck or the mechanics of the car actually affect the iu (possible?).

2 questions... 1. Are there heating elements running down along the front windscreen? 2. Did u v-cool your front? Both of these factors could interupt the reading of the IU. I had this problem on the Range. I had both heating elements and also V cool on the front windscreen. Eventually the problem was solved by finding the sweet spot on the screen. Originally thought it was a IU problem and complained to LTA too. Now just keep quiet.
