Don't have my car real handy to look, are the 16 nuts that hold the airbox and air horns to the carbs serviced with an 8MM wrench? Thanks, Doug
I am going to order a couple nut drivers and modify one so it can be used with the deck lid/hood on the car, which is why I asked. I never did get anything that fit really well, as the reliefs in the airhorns were too small to let a 1/4" extension really fit for a true vertical drive, so everything was always done at an angle, though it looks like an integrated U-joint/socket in 8MM would fit in from an angle nicely, ordering one of those also. The outer forwards were always a challenge with the hood on the car, it can be done, but is a PITA, and yes, I have always used an open end wrench on those, with the hood on. Thanks, Doug
I can get the whole rear bank and the 4 rear nuts of the front bank with my Craftsman nut driver with a 1/4" 8mm socket. For the front of the front bank I use a 1/4" ratchet with the extension and the socket. It just clears the air horns. Removal takes only a few minutes. This can all be done with the hood on my '77 GTB.
