    Hey guys, looking to PPI a car. Are there different degrees of PPIs or they are all the same. I want everything possible to be checked out. Thanks in advance.

    A proper PPI would normally include a compression test. For not much more $$ you can insist on having also the leakdown test done although a leakdown is usually not necessary if compression test came back with good numbers.

    You can also have a body shop to go over all the body panels and have the car on a jig with laser to check for bent frame & damages that are indicative of past accident.

    Get BOTH Carfax and Autocheck reports before you invest in an extensive PPI. Might save you a few bucks.

    Cool Cool. What should I look for in carfax or autocheck? Also, what is a good place near Miami that I can I do good PPI. Thanks!

    Tim Sandford's (I think)name comes up a lot on the board. I think he is in Fort Lauderdale. If you are looking at the one at Kessler motors there is a thread on it don't waste your time or money. Good Luck Dave
