Does anyone have experience with any replica watches? Normally I wouldn't even think about buying one, but I am totally in love with the Richard Mille RM 008 and for just a few hundred compared to over a quarter million, it seems like not such a bad deal. I know it won't last an extremely long time, but even a year or two would be fine. I just don't want the thing to break the first time I look at it funny or if it gets damp from washing my hands.

Here is the one I was thinking about.

    Thanks.

I'm glad this subject came up, as I've not been able to find the original post, nor the supplier, despite what should be obvious clues.

A couple of years ago, someone posted a shot of a watch from a company out of Southern California. Called "JOKER" - the "ROLEX 'crown'" is akin to a Jester's hat. Unfortunately, all my searches lead to Batman or evil clowns.

I LOVE those Richard Mille watches! :):)

Shame I will never be able to afford a real one. :):)

Perhaps this replica IS a good alternative. Did you end up getting one mate? :):)

That was my thinking for it too, but no I never did get one. I still might, I've just put it on the back-burner for a while.

I was in N.Y.C. 3 years ago and bought a very good Panerai
replica automatic. Let me tell you, sometimes I don't use it for
months,I'll shake it a bit,and keeps perfect time. And because
it's stainless w/black rubber band, hard to tell from real. I use it
as my gym watch or when I go cycling.

I love that RM too! Please buy it and report back! I wouldn't mind having one if it is even half way decent.

Also thinking about a nice Paneri Ferrari model that has a yellow band...looks good...

I have 21 watches, 17 which are reps now (2 more inbound from China). Here is a link to which to purchase. There are scam sites out there that will show the real watch and the one you get won't be as pictured. This is a trusted site on my Replica watch forum.

I grabbed a replica rolex a few years back because it was only a couple hundred bucks and it still works perfectly. I bought it at replica haus.com

Good luck with those replicas. For a few hundred bucks you could have a killer Seiko (or others) with mechanical movement that would last a life time. No bling though – to each his own I guess.

Totally agree with ya, but EVERYONE has a Seiko! :D:D

I love being different, so a replica RM watch it is. Hopefully I get a few years out of it, but for $200 we will see. I just wish I could afford the real thing. :):)

I will report back soon. Only a few days delivery they reckon. ;);)

just trying to save you a couple hundred bucks that you would spend on rubbish.
i am a watch collector and have a friend who collects replicas.....well doesn't collect really but he thinks wearing a replica is 90% of wearing the real thing....little he knows.
anyways, he got himself a rm011 replica to wind me up on my genuine rm011. guess what a laugh i had when he showed up with it. trust me it's worse than a fiero based f430 :D

In all seriousness though, I LOVE your gold RM!!:eek:

Trust me, if I could afford to buy a genuine RM watch, I would. :D:D

Well, I could if I *really* wanted to. But selling a house to buy a watch cash is nuts in any mans language. :p:p

Thanks for sharing pics of the real thing. I have this replica coming now and I am sure I wont be too disappointed with it. It still looks cool, but obviously aint the real deal. :D:D

I wont pass it off to anyone as the real deal, but I am sure I will have my friends envious of it. Its a cool watch, even the fakey. :D:D

Again, thanks for the pics. I am still drooling, its my fav watch and maybe one day when I am 60 yrs old I will be able to buy a real one. :D:D

    hey pap,

i have nothing at all against replicas. hell i own a replica (Superformance MKIII :D)
however, there are good replicas and bad replicas. and the fake rm011 is utter rubbish.
no pun intended but it really is that bad.
there are far better replicas of offshores etc.

let me know if you will have it on your wrist for more than a day and i owe you a drink :D

Did you get an Omega Seamaster replica? I'm digging the Bond model where the second hand has '007' written. Cool, but not something I would wear often (us secret agents must remain.....secret!)
