    Just an FYI:

For whatever reason, the owner's manual on my 04' 360 was switched with someone else's, and my alarm pin is not the correct one (nor does the vin # match).

According to Ferrari of San Diego it is $500 to get the pin from Ferrari, plus a copy of your registration and drivers license.

The dealer that I bought the car from agreed to pay the $500, plus $650 for new fobs, plus whatever they charge for programming it (based upon advice on this board, I made sure to ask if all fobs and paperwork were included with the car when purchasing).

Also to replace the battery/siren in the alarm is something like $700 (parts and labor). I know there are some posts on this board showing how to do it yourself, but since it is already at the dealer I told them to do it.

Having purchased a pre-owned 360 and finding that there was no documentation of the PIN within the various owner documents I emailed a scan of the registration documents to my nearest F dealer and they emailed me back the PIN without charge.

    Mark,

$650 for new key fobs are too much, you can get the same fobs for lot less and just pay Ferrari Dealer to reprogram.

It is no longer done that way with the US cars. FNA who has the codes for the US cars now charges a fee for the code.

What is the VIN in the book that you do have? Does the dealer know when the switch was made and where/with whom your car's book is currently located?

They do not. I searched the web for the Vin# on the card and nothing came up.

According to the tech, in '04 not all the Vins matched the paperwork for the alarm code.

So the switch occurred before the car ever made it to the dealer from whom you purchased the car?

What is the VIN on the card?

I don't know that answer, and the card is with the car at San Diego Ferrari right now (I did the search before I brought the car in for service.)

I conditioned the sale on getting all 3 fobs and the correct paperwork (thank you FerrariChat). The dealer has been trying to get me everything since August. I guess the dealer thought they had everything, they didn't, and are paying to make it right.

My post was just to let people know the cost of loosing the pin.
