Looks like the prelim schedule for the FC 2010 will not include RA as a destination http://secure.ferrarichallenge.com/news/view/2010-calendar-announced-1 Glad I'll be at Cavallino in January and Monterey in August though!
I don't see any major road racing tracks on the schedule other than Watkins Glen. Homestead is really a circle track with a pathetic road course in the middle. Never forget the first time I went to Homestead back in 1998 for the FIA GT1 and GT2 sportscar race. I think 5 people were at the track on Friday and Saturday for practice, 2 of wich were from Chicago!! Strange since Sebring has huge crowds(maybe mainly from central and north Florida?). That was without a doubt the highest tech field of cars in North America in 1998, yet no crowds! The factory GT1 Porsche and GT1's Mercedes CLK's were amazing. I went to RA for the F challenge this year. very poor attendance. Place was like a ghost town. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
+1, I went a couple years before that at their was pretty decent attendance. This year was just a shame.
I'm sure most of you guys remember what was held last summer. The 3 day FCA meet at RA. Most wouldn't go to both. I know I didn't.
Agreed, Every year I look at the Ferrari Challenge schedule, I make it a point as it is the only chance I have of catching a "real" race on this side of the country. I have gone to all Challenge events at RA since I left college, my guess is that since the track is rented and paid for by the owner/drivers there is no incentive to do any marketing at all. This year I attended both the Challenge and the FCA meet (no way I'm missing anything with it being 120mi away). I'm having second thoughts though about RA for the Challenge for next time it comes to RA, I'll be heading to Cavallino in January, and Concorso and the Monterey Historics in August. If the Historics prove to be THE EVENT for vintage Ferrari racing then that may be my destination of choice. I've longed for a P4 sighting and it's never happened at RA. On the other hand I've also heard that Infineon is THE PLACE to go for they also have the FXX program along with the Historics and the Challenge.
+1. I didn't hear a word about it. The first I heard about it is when you told me a few weeks after it happened.
It was not marketed at all, people that have season passes to the track did not even nkow it was going on. It was purely for the drivers, they didnt charge admission to get in or anything. The people that showed up seemed to have a good time. And some pics for carsleuth http://www.flickr.com/photos/andyjablonski/sets/72157620733803359/
not happy either, would have been to that in a heartbeat. went 3/4 years ago with my dad and had a great time...

So if that's true, how did YOU find out? Thanks for the pics. Great shots. This thing is absolutely insane: http://www.flickr.com/photos/andyjablonski/3682930082/in/set-72157620733803359/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/andyjablonski/3721590992/in/set-72157620733803359/
Best way to find out is to call RA directly every year, this past summer I stayed at the same b&b that Peter giddings stayed at it was a treat getting to know him, I've got about 300 pics, ill try to post
A friend races in the historic challenge so he told me about it eawrly in the year so I could mark it on the calender.
yes, lots but seems to take forever to upload, and rejects them many times. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm getting older (my 10 year old daughter was just gushing about all my grey hair today...). Can't seem to learn anything new... except more worthless factoids about cars... so no go with flickr.com
