Well after 47 long days, I finally picked up Eva today with her fresh paint and color guard complete courtesy of Art at Color Guard. For those of you who were following this thread: http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=267113 Here is the end result, pardon my lousy photography. I gotta wait 30 days before I can wax her, but she looks showroom new Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice and shinny. You may want to wait 60 days Jeff. That way the paint can fully cure. I say this because the temps in Cali have been pretty low, and it may have an affect on the drying of the paint. So if it were me I would give it at least two months. What did the guys at the body shop say about it in relation to the colder weather?
I am not sure they thought of that Ernie. They just said to not wax it for 30 days to ensure the paint and the color guard film can cure properly. I'll take your advice, it makes sense to me and there is no way I want to mess it up. Jeff
Jeff, that looks incredible, congrats on the new paint!! Good advice from Ernie by the way, probably a good idea to wait the extra month (or even two)...I wouldn't rush after this fantastic job.
Dont forget our humidity has been pretty high too. Nice outcome. When she's cured, bring her over and well do a detail on the little tramp.
