I'm intrigued as I am severely enjoy the fine tequilas. Please describe your experience with this tequila. Has anyone tried the Gran Patron Burdeos? Is it worth the price of admission?

Another one to try is Don Julio 1942...used to come "boxed" in a green wooden coffin, but our local store says no longer.....really smooth!

My favorite tequila is the Don Julio 1942! You have excellent taste in the fine tequilas good sir! I have a bottle in the green wooden coffin at home right now. The thing that I like the most about the Don Julio 1942 is the smoothness and slight hint of vanilla that you get when sipping the Don Julio.

I am hesitant to buy the Gran Patron Burdeos without trying it first (I haven't found a bar that stocks the Gran Patron Burdeos) as I tried the Patron Platinum and didn't like it as much as the basic run-of-the-mill Patron Silver.

I've tried all (I think...) the Patrons and nothing tastes as well as the DJ. You know, I've never been able to put my finger on why I prefer it, think I'll go pour a little (been shoveling snow all day and just found out what sciatic is all about...maybe pour a lot!) and see if I notice the vanilla.

Is DJ still packaged in the coffin out your way? I keep recycling ours!

Great stuff!! I drink more than my fair share of the CA.

The DJ 1942 is also an excellent choice. Another to try if y'all haven't is the Milagro Anejo.

Lots of fantastic tequilas out there!

    Cheers!

I'm certainly no expert on this but I do enjoy some Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia Tequila from time to time. Very good.

That Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia is my favorite. DJ 1942 is nice as well. The JC has more of a "bite" to it that I like.

Really hard to find matured Tequilas in Sweden. I bot a Patron Anejo on South Padre Island and liked it very much. Even my girlfriend likes it! I found it again when in London, so I have stocked up....

I don't normally like Patron. I will usually only drink a silver shot before a beer, however this Patron was surprisingly good for sipping:

I love buying Tequila in Mexico!
The more you taste the more you buy. They know. Then when walking out it starts to hit you and you go back and buy more. Very sneaky.
