When many left here in 2005 to set up another site is was as result of forced decisions and percived harsh treatment. So i wonder, now that the commitee on that site have taken a spanking on the vote to introduce dreconian changes and rules. Will some of the members now realise that two of the commitee cannot be trusted and come and chat here.

... how about "two of the committee & one of the moderators"??? ;)

I wonder if one of the committee will resign before screen prints of PM's need to be posted?

    Enlightening times.

Left that site a long time ago and wouldn't go back. Seems its got worse. How hard can it be to create a forum where everyone is treated the same and no one gets pathetic power trips ?

Not to mention the infantile cowards who sign up to other forums under different user names as they haven't got the balls to attack other people under their usual name.

not to step into things myself, I'm just curious if the users posting here are mostly positive about FerrariChat these days?

I feel very positively about FerrariChat. I wouldn't have subscribed if I wasn't happy.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

As one who used to be here and now rarely is, I left because I felt that other people were treated arrogantly and that the owner of the site lost the plot in a series of posts. (He would disagree, it's history, who cares?)

IMO the other forum has been more irreverent, chatty and welcoming to UK senses of humour, but Fchat has deep wells of information in the areas dedicated to specific marques, and I still frequent them.

WRT Club Scud, surely nobody with a life outside the internet gives a flying F who are on a committee?

I'm happy here, Rob, even if my contributions tend to be in the Politics and Religion section. Or perhaps because of this.

Under normal circumstances i would agree with you, but when the committe at all levels is so <removed by admin> then it is of concern.

I don't post much here, but then again I don't post a great deal on CS. We do sponsor CS, as our model doesn't work across the pond (just yet!)

I do like Fchat. It has a wealth of info for Ferrari Owners more than any other F based forum - so a big tick, especially as they're more Stradale Owners and thus information.

The big challenge is managing to post on 3 or 4 forums at any one time - gets a bit tedious after a while

    Rob,

Ferrarichat has always been a great resource and although there were some problems in the UK section I have always appreciated what you offer us all. The only trouble is that there is so much in Fchat as a whole that it is impossible to keep up with it all.

My thoughts are that as the years have passed and the original grievances have been forgotten and misted in time many that left FC have either drifted back or at the very least lurk, both forums have much to offer and it would be churlish to dismiss one over the other for me personaly I use both but do use SC more than FC purely because that a UK based site will always have for for a UK based member.
As Steve I have always been here.

F chat works for me. Don't bother with the others as I mainly own older Ferraris and the other sites just don't have the knowledge in the data base that fchat does.

LOL that is rich coming from you my friend :D

I see it like this, a lot of the UK members left here because of the so called politics and heavy handed moderators? they created their own forum which was fun to start with but now is dominated by politics and heavy handed moderators, in fact that site is now a lot worse than F-chat was when they left.

Nowhere is ever going to be perfect for everyone. You just need to find the place that fits your needs. No point moaning if a particular place doesn't fulfil what you want - just move on as Stimo did.

Personally I'm quite happy to join in here, on CS, on Scudrunners, the Ferrarilist and on *********** and a few others not directly Ferrari based. They all have their own strengths and weaknesses and I visit them accordingly.

Despite his well publicised spat with Rob, stevef never actually left this place. All kudos to him.

I personally don't currently find a lot to engage me in this particular section of Fchat , although I did very much enjoy Nick Truman's car build project, and there has been the occasional historic stuff. But hey! This is just the internet. Pick and choose what you enjoy and don't get hung up on what is not to your taste. That's the whole joy of it :)

    Best

    Francis

thankyou francis for posting the truth feel sorry for you lot over there as its just a big power struggle over there and if RMDFERRARI gets on the committe the site will self-destruct only problem i can see here is that if this site gets going again is hazy/hudson/tommo will start to show interest again as mods and they are only really interested in the power and control of the uk site there has been times on here that they have not logged on for 3/4 weeks a time
