When I open my 430's driver side door I can hear something working, is it the suspension? Since I'm not driving it for the winter is it bad for me to keep opening/closing the door without starting the engine? I have it hooked up to a battery tender.
If so I guess I will just have to use the passenger door :)

It is your F1 pump priming itself. Totally normal and nothing to worry about.

I asked the same of my tech (what exactly this was) and Willi's post above is right on. He did say that the trickle charger (tender) delivers a very small amount of amperage and that this pump requires much more. So, while it is perfectly normal, I would avoid opening the door too much if the car is being stored for the winter and not being started.
