    Over on one of the BMW forums, we're planning a trip to Abita Springs in mid-January. If anyone's interested, let me know and I'll post some details once they get ironed out. I think we'll have caravans leaving from both Baton Rouge and New Orleans.

    Trying to get only responsible drivers, so don't want to post too many details on a public forum. If you're interested, I'll PM you details.

    Adam, I would be interested in making it too, obviously not in a BMW though. If you guys want a good mix of European cars there, you should post on 6speed in the Louisiana section. Anyway, keep us updated

    It's time for the sequel of last years Abita run. Hopefully we will have some better weather and a better turnout. Last year we had around 20 so lets shoot for more. I need people in the GNO and Gulf Coast areas to tell me where they want to start from.

    Start Time: 10 a.m.

    Baton Rouge location: Coffee Call

    Greater New Orleans Location: NOLA meet point being bonnabel boat launch @10 am

    Biloxi/Gulf Port Location:?????

    Schedule of Events:

    Meet at your respective starting points and leave no later than 10:30 a.m. The first meeting point will be the Abita Brewery in Abita Springs. There is free beer for those who take the free tour and 21 in age. After the tour and a few cold pints we will head to the Abita Brew Pub for lunch. If the weather is nice, we will then move to Fountainebleau State Park for pics.

    So spread the word and lets get a good crowd.

    PS, We in no way encourage drinking and driving. Please have a DD if you want to get wasted on a 15 minute tour.

    We're coming from Lafayette and will meet the Baton Rouge group at Coffee call. It should work out good for us, because we need to check on the boat in Madisonville anyway....combine two things on one trip.

    I'll get a few cars behind you, I don't like cleaning the oil off the front of my cars after a drive behind you. Can you fit enough extra quarts in the 308 or do you need me to haul a case or two for you in the TR ? :)
