So unfortunate. This guy registers all his 'registerable' cars, he simply didn't have a choice with the Enzo. One year is a heavy fine which should be left to those who T-plates their 'registerable' cars like GT3 RS', Scuderias, normal 430s (yes a few T-plated ones actually exist believe it or not!) etc.

While I agree with your sentiment, I disagree with your analysis as it relates to this specific case. I think this guy was unbelievably lucky to not end up in jail and that is why his high-powered legal talent got him to plead guilty. Facts are that he was using someone else's t-plate illegally (personal use, t-plate not properly displayed...) and all of that equals driving a vehicle on the road without insurance. That is a criminal offence with jail - full stop.

All he had to do was have his own t-plate and use it legally and the matter would never have arisen.

As to the guy registering all of his registerable cars versus others who use a t-plate on daily drivers, I think the police are pretty serious in their crackdown on t-plates and will solve the problem.

Good point. I suppose he thought since he was so rich he could be his own third party insurer shoudl any accidents occur. Foolishly for him thats not how our legal system works!

Haven't posted here for a long, long time. My subscription expired and I'm not renewing anytime soon so I'm afraid the only pics I can post are not pics at all but links. Follow them if you find something interesting (Sir Paul, you may be interested in the black 575SA in there somewhere)

    Merry Christmas to all!

Exactly. Why he used a well known dealer's plate without proper authorisation is completely beyond me. Rookie mistake by someone who is anything but a rookie. I bet police will go after that dealer very hard - illegal use of t-plate, no rep of dealer in car when t-plate used, t-plate used without insurance...

Seen in the Kowloon Tong/Mong Kok area where I now mostly work from if that helps. May have been the one for sale in IM in Causeway Bay a while back?

    And you!
I trust you are well and have a great Holiday season!
I hope the 3M film came off the car OK after Hainan. I see that Ferrari are doing their own brand of stone chip film now.
Must say, when I buy a Nokia phone it comes with anti scratch film which you can choose to take off or leave on the glass. Same for the shiny bits of many household devices and appliances. Wouldnt it be great to have that as a factory delivery standard on a car and choose to leave it on or not!!

Merry Xmas to you and all our readers!!!

The Ferrari stone chip is breathtakingly expensive. It must include some kind of a laser to atomise stones as they are en route to damage your car. It is 3 or 4 times what I pay.

3M comes off routinely Sir Paul. No big deal. An everyday occurence.

Welcome to Fchat. Saw that white Murci fly by my office in Kowloon Tong last week. Put a BIG smile on my face! Visited SPS in Kowloon bay yeterday and they had some breathtaking cars in the workshop and also something I never expected to see in HK under a cover. I highly recommend anyone to drop in if you're passing. Also the showroom in Chai Wan has a couple of Veyrons.

The beans were in a fancy light blue tin labeled 'Gumpert Apollo', but now they're all over the floor.

There was a Zonda, but it was under wraps and I forgot to ask which model it was.
