finally my post with no pictures. haha.

anyway, went up the mountain today on a beautiful, finally warmer work day with a LP560.
Was amazed at how slow it is in corners, no matter how good the rear end looks. I observed it thru maybe 50 corners and didnt have to brake where he did and slow where he slowed, finally after 20 minutes, i got tired of this childish behavior and said good bye and good night to the 560 and waited for him at the next coffee stop.

he was ok fast when im in my 430, but when im in the scud, he became a road block. dont know why, maybe it is slower or my scud ego was just too great, i didnt have to go much over 5k RPM, (still under 600 miles) but i know my new **** is much faster and handles more beautifully than the ol'430.

Dont take this the wrong way, but 2 different drivers and 2 different cars will bring various different results.

You should be happy you are the better driver because the LP560 is the much faster car.

The amount of mechanical grip the Scud has is pretty phenomenal. I'd take 2 wheel drive over 4 ALMOST* any day.

    *Veyron exempt

Agree with posts #2 and #3, two different drivers, different cars and ON THE STREET! Take that crap to the race track! There are enough tracks around with enough open slots if you want to compare cars then switch the drivers back and forth in the cars and do it ON A TRACK! I would never exceed 8/10ths on the street, but on the track I have out run plenty of Ferrari's in my poor old 928's!

No offense, but unless you're an experienced track driver, you would not be able to bring out the full potential of either the 430 or Scud.

A few quick runs on mountain passes does not mean you beat an LP640 or even the driver.

    Why does everyone neglect tires?

I have a set of corsas for my 355 and it is NIGHT AND DAY from a standard high performance summer tire like a PS2 or RE01R.
Scud has R-compounds. 458 does not.
    LP-560 does not.

I often wonder what percentage of the difference in performance in the "special cars" (CS, scud, G-SL, GT3) is due strictly to the use of DOT R-compounds.

Im not sure how well these tires work on "normal road" conditions. Do they get heat enough when you are just having fun ? How do they react to all the dirt found on the roads compared to a clean track ?
