SO who here thinks its a good thing that MS is going to be BACK, but with Merc? I have been a MS since he came on the scene but a big part of it was because he was racing for Ferrari. Is it going to be the same? Are we the MS fans going to be behind him as much now that he isnt racing for Ferrari? I for one am glad that his is coming back (maybe! I know) but a big part of me is sad that it isnt with Ferrari.

I hope Massa gives him a good beating all season!

    Jim

I'm a Ferrari fan 1st, so I hope Fernando does great(wins drivers championship),
for Michael, I hope he gets some podiums but not if it's going to take away from
Ferrari. And just for the record,I'm a HUGE Schumacher fan.

I predict Massa isn't really 100% and MS kicks his ass and everyone elses from race 1.

I'm not a MS fan, but it is fantastic for the sport that he is back. Any WDC on the grid adds to the race.

I hope he gets clobbered by Alonso, Vettel and Hamilton.

I don't but if he is back, it will be welcome news for Nico. He'll have the big guy covered in qualifying and points in 2010.

We should pray that he's back and that the MB, Maca, Feza and RB cars are identical in performance.

I am a HUGE MS fan but I will always be strictly Tifosi. I don't car if Michael wins a race or not. I only care how the Ferrari's do.

It's great to see him willing to stir things up a bit. I just wonder if he's still invited(or will show up) to the F Christmas party? ;)

I can't believe what I'm about to say but, I hope Alonso beats MS so bad that MS wishes he never came out of retirement.

    p.s.
I teased you about Chicago not getting the Olympics, I guess what goes around comes around.

I'm ready for that crow you have in the fridge.

what is going to be interesting is how Massa and MS interact, they were good friends and MS was Massa's mentor so it will be interesting to see if there is any interaction at all.

I can't wait until Massa shows Alonso how to drive and everyone here starts wondering how they missed that Massa is much better than you think.

The real exciting thing is that the top four teams have mega talents; take alo
    look at these teams;
    Ferrari - Alonso, Massa
    McLaren - Hamilton, Button
    Mercedes - Schumacher, Rosberg
    Red Bull - Vettel, Webber

    those are some strong lineups!

I've always been a Ferrari supporter, from day 1. But it was MS who got me in the Ferrari camp. So, i won't mind if he wins the WDC next season. I just hope it won't be a boring championship, like this year!

I suspect that if MS does return he will garner the lion's share of the non-race media coverage to the point of overload. This will in turn put an unbelievable amount of pressure on his shoulders.

He will either be a hero or zero and his supporters and detractors will be equal in number.

    Fixed

    Eggnogg overdose?

I dont think the Ferrari will be strong enough to actually get that accomplished, but the McLaren and Red Bull boys will do it instead. Perhaps even Rosberg.

I'm a Schumi fan, I think 2010 will be immensly intresting. I don't think Schu will go as far as win another WDC (although how good would that be?) I do think he'll win some races though. He has enough time to get prepared and will probably be quick, I don't think that ALL the young guns will show him up, but it will be good to see old Schu and Hamilton for example fighting together and trading wins. I don't see Alonso showing him up either, from that perspective I think I personally would like to see something similar to 2006.

Basically all I'm saying is I wouldn't right him off before he's even begun.

Totally agreed on all of that.

Sadly the Ferrari's engine is too thirsty for our boys to give MS a real challenge.

True, but we do know that the Ferrari's engine is thirstier than the Merc's. Until now that wasn't an issue thanks to refuelling. Next year that could become a problem. Remember: Engine specs are frozen.
