Well, it's killing me to have done it but I've listed my 348 Challenge for sale.

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/vbclassified.php?do=ad&id=2926

The car is one of the 32 "factory" 1994 348tb Challenge cars. It drives great, is in excellent cosmetic condition and underwent a major at Sport Auto in NC about 2k miles ago. Pics and more details are in the above link. PM me for additional info or if you have any questions. Thanks for looking.

    Malex,

I feel your pain brother. Sold my 348SS earlier this year, but at least it went to another Fchatter with first right of buyback...it is always tough to let a good one go.

you can ask all you want but I'd bet any 355 out there priced anywhere near a 360 will get little to know interest from buyers.

at 70k to 100k for a 360 you bring a different type of Ferrari buyer in. Not the true Diehard's that know so much about the heritage but that look at the whole package. How much and how fast can I get out of a Ferrari for 80k. So 9 of 10 or maybe 99 of 100 buyers won't even think about these 80k 355's when they can get a better car for such a close price.

I might be wrong but I'd love to hear how many phone calls these guys are getting on these cars priced so high. Also if they do get phone calls how many are offering 20% off their asking. I'm assuming this happens an awful lot right now

355's are beautiful cars and I sure hope to own one someday. I think the buyers for them are just becoming a lot more scarce.

    Just like to add.....
I just happen to be "one of those guys" looking for a 348/355 and have been for the last 6 months or so. I've seen them go from 95k to 55k. I was just talking to a very nice guy that deals Ferraris, as he said... "last year at this time they went for 90k-100k, now, the same car is 55-60. Some guys still don't believe that the economy is in the trash and still think they can get last years price...WRONG".
I was standing there as he was talking to a guy that bought a 355 14 months ago for 95k and wanted to sell it, no lie...his words...he said "OK,OK,OK I know I'm gonna take it in the shorts selling it now, so I'm willing to take 90k". I looked at it, never told him that I saw one in much better shape for 60k.
Just thought I'd say something, by the way....I'm still looking and they keep dropping.

I agree with "dropped" but not still dropping. The panic selling is over. Yes there is are a lot of cheap cars getting cheaper but they are the unwanted cars that people bought when money was easy and junk would sell for almost as much as a good car. I think you'll find now the well sorted cars with no issues are not floating around at the hands of desparate sellers. Granted they are worth less than before but no where near some people might wish they could buy them for.

I'm dying to know what the Salesman told him .....Don't leave us hanging. "I'm willing to take 90k" LMAO a 5k bath. 90k isn't the trade in value of a 360 Spider right now.

while I agree most good cars are socked away by the stockings with care with some owners never letting go of them. Even the BEST 355's can't get what a better out performing 360 will. 2 Challenge Stradales traded hands this week one selling 103k and the other 106k. 30k mile cars yes but good cars for sure. Those were 175k to 220k cars just 12-15 months ago. Those aren't 360 coupes or spiders they are the most Sought after 360 made. Most of them sought after more than a 430 coupe by some. Even 2005 430 coupes trading at 125k. It's hard to imagine a 90k 355 like some on the market with those low numbers on the newer version Ferrari's. Especially with their service rumors $$$$$

You want the price to go up............just don't sell.

    I wouldn't sell my yellow 348 Spider for 100k.

The way I see it, if we all stick together, then we control the price!!!

I don't really "have to" sell it, but it would make our new house purchase a lot easier, 2 Ferraris is too much at the moment. Great car, I will buy it back once we make our move (that same car if possible).

Like I said, you can find a good 355 with great records in great shape for mid-50's. 348's are in the mid-40's. I also agree that the slide has "somewhat" stopped.
I'm ready to pull the trigger soon, just need to find the right one. I have three things on my side, time, money and I don't care if its not red. Not going to buy the first one I see (I've been looking for a few months) and not going to pay too much, I hear I need to keep some cash to the side for repairs. LOL.
And Step, if that car was black or yellow, I'd be on my way to Vegas now. pretty car.

You may get lucky and find a good car for less than $60-$65k.
Or, you may get what you pay for. :D
Plus you don't need repair $$$ if you buy a truly good car to begin with.

-NOT- plugging my car as it is NO LONGER FOR SALE!!!!
