Bro, I believe you meant air intake and not intercoolers? You should do it, have done the carbon fiber air intake system on my Lambo and the car pulls stronger!
heh i am not very hardcore about all this, but yeah i am gonna do up a lil bit more, since i letting go of my 560 Spyder for a SL version maybe i can transfer the parts over after that =) Will be my trial and error car then
and I am assuming you were on road tires mate which proves even road tires will aquaplane on heavy water.... yeah, one of our dear Carrera Cup racers actually aquaplaned at 110kmh on the N-S.... and he couldnt catch it.... and he was on road tires.... Sooo.... if you hit big water.... regardless of tires, on a lightweight rear wheel driven car... stakes get higher. Our friend with a Conti GT went straight through the exact same puddle... no issues.... Thats why I drive along the NS in daylight only and always look out for puddles more than even cars... hahaha... well almost....
You should all join us up in Sepang on 15th really... she will be driving with us..... damn funny to watch her hunt us all down on the corners.... fast cars sure dont make us fast drivers.... she has pretty much proved that to me.... hahaha
Mate, she is a wonderful lady... you meet her and u would not believe how skilled she is, very quietly spoken.... Her husband runs a Skyline GTR and a Boxster.... he is faster yet.... its great being on the track with these guys as it puts everything into perspective. I have so much more to learn before I get to even 5/10ths of my cars potential that I realise I wont get anywhere near my cars potential for years to come and I really need to up the ante before I can go to the track and hold my head up high driving the RS.... downside is I now have no justification to upgrade my darn car.... hahaha
hahaha... bro believe me.... I am hitting as many track days as I possibly can this coming year to get more track time in.... I will be driving the pants off this RS.... goal is to lose it around every corner of Sepang within the year so I really know the cars limits... hahaha.... heaven forbid the time I come to sell the car.... no one will touch it.....hahaha Am already looking for a set of super lightweight forged wheels just for the track and will store there with the tire guy our legendary Ahfong and Kin etc use.. group of us porker guys will be moving to Hoosier full slicks for track use.... following in the lines of our Rockstar. Figure what I lack in skill I will make up for in the tires.... hahaha
if u PLAN 2 lose it on every corner starting with the 1st ... how u can get to 2nd corner? just curious ...
I see. I am in Beijing first week, KL second week, Hkg third week and Geneva/London fourth week. Clearly no rest for the wicked. Let me know if our paths cross.
haha... mate, already lost it on turn 9 and 11, got a bit hairy around turn 1. so 12 more corners left.... one per track day... will cover them all before year end if I can hit minimum 12 track days this year....
These are what I do when travelling fast in wet days. Try to keep to the middle lanes or middle of two as water tend to flood the sides & hold your steering wheel tight when going through pools, keep the car straight but do not panic & hit the brake (surefire for disaster) any anxious correcting angles may spin too. Tap lightly on the brake occassionally to keep them in check. Otherwise keep below 120 & be safe. On my recent trip back, it was very wet & there were two nasty accidents on the NS heading north near Seremban. One was so bad that the entire highway jammed for more than 20 miles. The funny thing was there was a chain accident on my side with the 1st car being a traffic polis Waja. Wow, respect bro. U are serious. I'll try to make it on 15th.
Mate, I think there are markers on the left to check how far u are from turn 1 & 15. I think it starts from 200m? then down every 50m so you can try to learn to brake as late as possible
