Hey all - does anyone have a list of yearly changes to the F430? I know that the Scuderia debuted for 2008 and the 16M for 2009, and that the regular models got carbon ceramic brakes standard for 2009. Were any other changes made?

Exclusive of regular service updates (campaigns) over the years and a few additional options, I don't recall any major changes. The most important change would probably be the updated headers fitted in 2008 - that's assuming they're actually less prone to leaking, only time will tell. A battery maintainer was made standard equipment in 2008. Also, ceramic brakes were made standard in 2008, not 2009.

Included in 2008 USA car base price: ipod connection or 6-CD player, Bluetooth, Carbon Ceramic brakes, tire pressure monitoring system, and car cover.

Good info. I'll add one thing...cars that are factory optioned with Challenge look wheels don't have TPMS. Though, I'm sure an aftermarket system could be added.

Is that right..interesting. I thought you couldn't order TPMS on the '05-'07 cars if you got the challenge look wheels. I assumed the '08-'09 cars deleted the standard TPMS when challenge wheels were selected...figuring the wheels wouldn't accept the system.

I believe that by law all cars sold in the US in 2007+ require TPMS. For this reason factory wheel options would require TPMS. This is no big deal as the sensors are easily installed and not rim specific.

I believe you're right about that US law. Yet, my 430's an '07 (built in late '06) with Challenge wheels and it does not have TPMS. I wish it did, though, it's nice to have.

I would think that you can order the sensors from Ricambi and have the TPMS installed and coded by any shop with an SD3 Ferrari computer. The car should have all the info it needs to make this happen locked in its computer it only needs someone with the right tools to turn it on. Post in the technical section but I'm sure it can be done. I don't want to lead this thread astray.

Don't ask me how but I have it. Just the other day it gave me a warning about low tire pressure. I can't see anyhow that could be without monitoring. And, I definately have Challenge wheels.

I also got the car cover which is probably standard issue but unexpectedly also received 2 front seat covers made of the same red material which was nice...Oct 2007 coupe.

Can't say about every item, but your prior to 2008 you paid for carbon ceramic brakes, ipod connector. Perhaps every item. Dunno for sure.

In the 2008 timeframe, all Ferraris changed from the large optional battery charger and connector to a standard CTEK battery charger and connector.

so the header change wasn't made until 08? how hard is it to change headers? I'm relatively handy (have swapped engines in my race car twice this season). I wouldn't look forward to pulling the engine to swap headers, but if there is an aftermarket unit that would work, I'd buy them and find a 05 that seems to be discounted because of the header issue...
