Car 0614MDTR exists in need of a full restoration, without its original engine Barchetta is incorrect
Do you know if this is the TR (TRC?) that Sid Colberg (San Francisco) owned during (at least) the late 70s. He also had an engineless/transaxleless/brakeless 750 Monza at the same time. I begged him for the Monza (the TRC actually had potential) but he maintained that "it was worthless." The body had some race-rash and storage dents, but really nothing significant. I wish I knew the chassis numbers. Sid had other cars there, that I've brought up before (212 PF Coupe & 250 PF Coupe). Ray Caivano (now deceased) rented a building from Sid, in what is now the Moscone Convention Center, and Sid kept these and a few other derelict Ferraris there. I worked for Ray, who was doing business as Austin-Healey West. I suppose those were the last days of finding and buying cheap Ferraris. It was during this same time that I knew Ed Gilbertson (he had *just* bought his 166MM).
Colberg had 0680 MDTR which is a TRC, owned since many years by Callaham. No relation to 0614. Marcel Massini
Thank you. I never saw Sid do anything with it, beyond allowing dust to settle on the poor gorgeous thing, but at least it didn't suffer under the weight of a fallen watercraft, like the 212.
