hmmmm...but are the sets legal? Using the approved frequency is one thing... but the sets are not IDA approved... so technically it doesn't matter what freq we use... its still illegal rite?
yeah, thats what I understand too.... I am using all the legal channels BUT my set is not legal hence not using it in Singapore. And I thought that the key thing is that a set cannot be programmable if its to be deemed approved in Singapore. Basically just don't use the set in Singapore to be safe. They can't fine you for being in possession of a set that is not being used as it is approved for sale in Singapore for export use, and as long as we are using it outside of Singapore then I do not believe they can hit you. Nick is easily reachable... he also runs the bike shop at upper East Coast Rd and his wife is at the one at Big Splash...
Well, I felt Evra didn't deserve to get his first yellow so perhaps it's fair that he wasn't given the second
Land Rover Discovery 4 TDV6 I test drove the car yesterday. I have to say I am quite impressed with the fact that the interior bits seem quite well put together and the beautiful touchscreen worked flawlessly with blue tooth integration for all the cell phones. The leather stitched dash blended in very well with the interior and gave it a sense of "atas" without feeling too commercial for a Land Rover. The seats were very comfortable and I fit well into the rear 3rd row seats without too much drama. I liked the ease of folding, mostly activated via straps and push buttons. I do think that the lack of electronic features on these can only be a positive factor in the future. It was a short sprint around leng kee and AYE on the "designated" route and I really liked the torque of the turbo diesel. Its seems to have enough grunt to go around and will be suited for Singapore driving. I dont know about the aspect of its ability to haul up and down the NS but I do know it will be comfortable. I am impressed but I do wished that we can have some English Speaking Land Cruisers to battle it out with.
