I'm nervous now that I saw the post below about the crashed 360 that was represented as clean. Does anyone know the real history of either of these?

    2004 Spider: VIN #ZFFYT53AX40135540

    2003 Spider: VIN #zffyt53ax30131146http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2003-Ferrari-360-F1-Spider-Loaded-Gorgeous-Like-NEW_W0QQitemZ320468102538QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item4a9d632d8a#ht_500wt_1182

    Thanks for the help!

You got to go deeper; calling the dealers who serviced the cars, acquiring the papers, and tracking the car's history.

Don't even consider a car that's been whacked, unless it's very minor--too many good cars out there. Don't cheap-out, buy a quality car and you'll never regret it.

Bill is right. It's a buyer's market, and you can have your pick of the litter. There are a lot of 360 Spiders out there. Personally, I think those prices might be a bit high, but those cars are very low mileage. I like the manual (because it's a manual), but the F1 just had a major (with belts) 1,700 miles ago. But if the car has only been driven 500 miles per year, then the major was done three years ago.

Like Bill said, run the VIN through an authorized service center, find out what work has (and hasn't) been done, and when and where. Ask questions, get a PPI, keep looking, be patient. You'll find the car that's right for you. Good luck!

I can't say I know the 03 Spider in AZ, but I spoke with the person selling it about 2 months ago and he seemed genuine...it is a 2 owner car...if I recall, one owned a car dealership in TX and the other was a physician in TX...the person selling it sold it to both of the previous owners...he is a wholesaler...the price seems to have bumped up form $105k ask to $110k...looks like a pretty car...I ended up buying an 03 manual coupe (and LOVE it btw!).

    Thanks for the information, Bryan.

Any chance you'll disclose the serial number of the car you bought? :)

    What state are you in?

During the search for mine, I came across a "clean" 03 F 360 Red Spider 2K miles in AZ but did not gather all the specific details since I was already in the process of closing on an 04.

If you want, PM me and I can give you the details to follow up
