My bud Roy told me long go "Don't LET YOUR GAURD DOWN" I have a great security system from Roy, but did not turn it on!!! I was gone for less than a hour and got nailed, someone broke in my house and got me for 4 flat screens TV's, computers etc ., but what really got me was my 1978 Les Paul sunburst I bought in 78!! You can't put a price on that, that kills me!! The moral is listen to the people that put these systems in, AND USE THEM no matter how long you will be gone!!!! Just an FYI to all my car pals, don't get complacent!! Robert
Damn it. Sorry to learn of this. From experience, it is an awful feeling. Also from experience - check out the lawn maintenance or any cleaning service people.
Dude that sucks Robert! I hope they find the bastards (or bastettes?) that did this too you! That is the worst feeling when you come home to that!
Keep an eye out on Craigslist, Ebay and call Pawn shops to inform them to be on the look out for the guitar.
GOSH DANG IT!! I told you.....5 minutes is all they need!! My alarm goes on EVEN if I take a walk in the neighborhood for 10 minutes. Call me in the AM..I will to the verification of Value for your insurnace company...no CHARGE!
Thanks bud, I will give you a call, having a hell of a time getting a value on the guitar, you really can't, it was very unique, but your help would be great... thanks Roy!
Yeah it sucks, thanks everyone on this board, I conceder all of you my good friends and I DON'T want this to happen to anyone else, it's a horrible feeling, so please use what you have to protect your hard worked items! The dip S$#%'s did not even go in my garage and no one was hurt, (thank God) so I do feel very lucky!! Thanks again everyone for your kind words!! Robert
Sorry to hear this Robert, I've been there before and it does suck. It's amazes me that they would be that organized but I suppose it really shouldn't.
WOW, that sucks Robert!!! I know how you must feel about the Les Paul. My brother has a 20th (or a 25th anniversary, I can't remember which) Les Paul that he bought back in the late-70's. HE LOVES IT!! I think he would die if something happened to it! Sorry to hear about it, hope they catch them!!! Mike
Call Kelly at Apple Music in Portland, he owns the store and has been collecting/selling guitars since he was 10. He will be one of your best sources to put a true value on your guitar. His personal collection is AMAZING. Tell him I sent you. The store number is 503-226-0036. I just spoke to him, he will be there on Thursday and he'll do some research in the meantime...he'll be expecting your call on Thursday. Sorry to hear about this.
That's really terrible. I'm very sorry to hear about this, Robert. Hopefully insurance will help ease the pain some and the guitar will be recovered.
Horrible news, my condolences on your loss. I knwo the pain and how violated you feel. Roy also gave my cars safe harbor in 2005 when I had a similar break-in robbery.
That really sucks Robert i feel for you and your family. There is one thing i hate the most and that is a low life thief.......
A '78 Les Paul ... in sunburst... man, that smarts. Sorry to hear the news. Hope you manage to track it down.
That's lamer than hell. Sorry for your loss. I took off for a week during x-mass and left the garage door open. Luckily the same day a neighbor noticed and closed it for me. I could have been screwed, and I wish the best for you. I hate thieves.
I am REALLY sorry to hear about this Robert! You know what I went through in 2006 for the same thing. Roy had a system installed inside of 3 days and believe me, I am religious about using it, even for the quick jaunt down the road. Considering how you are located I speculate that it is someone local and was keeping an eye on the place. That's how it was with mine, local tweekers. This makes me pissed off all over again! Start checking Craigslist and ebay for the stuff. One thing they got from me was MY IDENTITY. ALL of my numbers. I have Credit Notify and Triple Advantage because of it. Even if it doesn't look like they got into your personal documents check anyway. Many times they rifle through it, pull some spare checks, CC numbers and SS numbers then put it back nice and neat. If you haven't already, CANCEL EVERYTHING, all of your cards, debits and close out all of your bank accounts and open new ones. Install passwords on all cards and accounts. ASSUME THEY HAVE ALL OF YOUR INFO
that really f..in sucks. I feel your pain, two years ago we went to Europe and the house sitter and her Dad cleaned us out. Insurance coverage.....forget it. They will cover next to nothing. Best insurance, Doberman.........I have two.
If you can't find one of your own, try going to Google Images and see if there is one that is close to yours.
Sorry Robert. They must have been watching your house for a while to knwo when you left! Hope they catch the Pric^$!
Here a few weeks ago when me and Anthony Ray went to Park Place to have our cars washed i received a call from the security agency from BECU that there was 3 purchases on my debit card in Atlanta Georgia. Some one stole my debit card info and i was lucky that they did not clear my checking account out. I think we should cut the hands off of all thieves. Robert i hope that you can find your Les Paul i will keep an eye out for it. My best to you and your family.
