My Final post here on Ferrari Chat.

Well guys the time has come for me to move on from ferrari chat and on other things out in life. I rarely have time to surf here on the forum anymore these days. Its time I get serious about my goals and start actually being pro active towards them.

So I just wanted to take this time to thank Rob Lay for having such a great forum. You guys have an awesome forum and for the past 5 years or so it has been a blast. I have never had any issues and despite the past issues from "other forums" I will not say who this forums moderators were fair. No unnecessary banning was ever taken to the extreme, everyone and anyone could come on here and speak their minds just as they should than be silenced for no reason. All the members are more mature than on "Some other" forums I used to be apart of.

I had great times on here especially from my days from LP and coming here as a full time poster, everything from the kitcar debates to the stolen car thread in the Lamborghini section that lasted over 100 pages long. I had to set the clock manytimes for that one.

As of today today I will retire the user name and perhaps someday return under a new user name and with an exotic car of my own to discuss but till then I've got a lot of work ahead of me that needs to get done.

I want to leave from here with my head up on peaceful terms and not leave on a negative note. So guys have a happy new year and lets go out there and kick some ass this coming decade!.

Seems to me, with the plethora of successful people here, you would want to keep this door open for advice, guidance, ideas, etc.

I like Pantera but its quite weird when people feel it necessary to announce their departure.

I mean, why does it have to be all or nothing...why not just pop on if and when you have some time...or not...but why close the door like that ?


I find it very odd.

There are some forums I belong to where I only go on maybe once a month to see if theres anything interesting. I dont feel the need to announce anything.

Assuming he really does stay away, I think it is gentlemanly to say a courteous good-bye.

If he comes back, DrS has the cards ready.

I think you can do it without making it an announcement. if anyone notices you are absent and cares they can go back and look at your posts to see if you mentioned anything.

A simple "Life is getting super busy so I may not be around as much" is a lot beter than some grandiose 'goodbye'...I just cant imagine myself doing it so its hard to relate

more importantly...WTF am I doing up at 6am ????

I've actually always felt weird saying goodbye, or bye to people. I still do it, but it always leaves me feeling uncomfortable. When parting, I usually say "See ya later" or "talk to you later". Goodbye sounds permanent.

 

I agree with not agreeing. He gave thanks before bidding a fond adieu.
