OK stupid question but I'm just wondering why is it that the 911 turbos doesn't have all the noises like the Japs? I had the Nissan S15 type R with HKS stuff & it was making a lot of sweet & addictive sounds. Where's that throw-off valve, turbo timer etc? Lung, MP, anyone? I was driving carefully & floor it a few times but there was no lag/power boost to kick....nothing. It's just flat, linear non-explosive power.....am I missing something here? Mine is a Tiptronic S & I think my ex-M5 felt more exciting It's 480hp on paper & I'm wondering if I should take it up to 600 for a reasonable cost & reliable as daily.
Awesome remix of the best songs of 2009. Very well done. Lung, this suits u. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNzrwh2Z2hQ
Fchat have successfully infiltrated FOCS! It's been a long time coming... Uncle Lung & Derek - any special privileges for Fchatters?
so many uncles hanging around the hospital I thought it wud be historic coz you finally put the deposit down on the Cali. They even had the credit card reader out just for you!
Mike, if I were u. Just hold on to that 355 since it's so dear & 'cheap', can't think of many cars that gives u the same for that money. 458 is $900K?? Cali is easily $100K shy of it. I wonder how will the insurance hit home on a 0% NCD owner
agree. admittedly a bit rich coming from me but i would hold onto the 355 if space and finances (and spouse!) permit. is it true you've jumped for the cali? say it ain't so bro, say it ain't so...
errh... assuming someone i know was travelling at a fair speed along the expressway and assuming it was about 160 km/h, suddenly there's a fair amount of steering wheel shake, ie. a noticeable vibration, that goes away when the speed decreases. any idea what could be the cause so i could errh, let my friend know? many thanks.
This is what happens when the local agent does not "embrace" PIs... especially when PIs out number their own cars. Surely they could earn extra revenue by servicing all cars. Yes MM does charge a 30k adoption fee which is ridiculous. BTW I called MM yesterday to enquire about a milled aluminum fuel cap... they said $1k. I checked on the net and it was US$290. How like that??
Very sensible advice, guys - thanks! I share the same views, which is why I've not pulled the trigger on the Cali. Plus the current exchange rate of 4x355s = 1 Cali is a deterrence, though I know Citi gives a better rate Of course not, despite the relentless pressure that I'm facing, especially at Ital today. Strictly no bigamy... car bigamy, that is...
Don't you know that hospitals are uncles' 'favourite' hangout places? Sorry to disappoint you and the other Cali-for-Mike supporters, but it'll have to be another day
