It's easy to get a loud exhaust, but in order to catch a nice one,you have to trial and error!

The Tubi made GS exhaust is very nice... nice low rumble that is very distinctive Maserati GS.

Like what lung said, Bentleys are meant to be quiet and classy but powerful when you floor the throttle. No point changing the exhaust on the car. It spoils the whole experience of driving a true Bentley!

    Happy new year to all.

Could some brothers advise which are supercar friendly hotels and nightspots in KL. Read somewhere that Mandarin Oriental is good. Now that Pavilion is the in place for shopping would you recommend Westin or Grand Millenium. Traffic is still horrible at BB. Would you park in the car park or at the main entrance.

    Hi, Happy new year.

My advice is to park in front of a good hotel & take the LRT 1st then cabs. Because you'll get stuck in jams for cabs as well not to mention them haggling over prices!

Best option is park @ Hilton in Sentral as this is where the central railway & LRT station is. You'll need to walk a few hundred metres to reach the station where the LRT takes u to KLCC. For BB, take the LRT from the Sentral station. Cabs are abundant here as well.

Otherwise, I normally park outside Millennium. The jam there occurs during meal hours. It's quite smooth before 12pm & after 2.30pm then bad again around evenings. Forget JW Marriot & Ritz as it's too packed. U can try Westin or the valet of Pavillion.

FYI, the carpark @ Pavillion is very good but expensive even by Singapore standard. Make sure u remember where u park!

Mandarin Oriental is fine & so are the few major hotels nearby but it's out of the shopping districts. KLCC can be boring.

Thanks bro. Seems that nobody used BOV on late 911turbos! Saw some youtubes for the HKS, Greddy etc & some are pretty sweet :D

Was looking @ some tuning kit & there are a lot of "packages" for turbo model. What I hate is the automatic gearbox. 5 speed & built by Mercedes for S500s. I'm impressed that it can take such power abuse but most if not all of the mega power hiked 997 turbos are using manual gearbox where they upgraded the clutch as well.

Jon , the sound you are referring to most likely refers to the atmospheric blow off valves.... these are not always a part of the design of the car and in the case of a standard turbo they are not atmospheric.... you wanna hear those sounds grab a listen to my ex turbo with the Protomotive intercoolers.... the blow off valves on that baby made me think Darth Vader was residing in the rear of that car...

The car is designed to be very linear in powerdelivery, mate keep it without the lag and it will be much safer to track with....

Oh geez.... more than double the price!

Can't blame them lah since they don't pocket the profit of a new car & the facility that they have to put up+maintain. So, part of the $30K goes to the garage tiles :D

Steady man. Steady. Looking back, we have all moved on from 2-8+ cars between the 355days & you're all nostalgic! But then we've lost a lot of moolahs :(

    +1

just drop by any proper tyre shop to spin them then check the suspension joints, wheel bearings etc.

    Woah. This is poisonous :D

Anyway, let me take it for a long trip 1st & let the mod begin!

Thanks mate, too bad u sold your old turbo or I'd love to sample it but was reliability an issue with all the mods put in? So, does altitude change affects the current crop of turbos? I plan to take the turbo to many places.

Actually, I kinda miss the sound from my old ricer. It was like a fighter jet & a sound I've not heard from any other ricers since.

Does anyone know the true octane rating of Singapore or in that case, Malaysia's fuel?

I understand that our 95/98 are not true numbers & Japan is one country where u can find 100 racing fuel in some kiosks!

If mine has got Turbos,i will wanna have Turbonetics waste gates rather than BOVs.I used to have BOVs on my Turbo truck but the boost just did not hold well.Furthermore waste gates sounds more fierce....whaaaa whoosssssshh!! For yr Bentley next time??
