Pac10's bowl season is over. 2-5 record (.286). Pretty much proved what we thought. SEC is proving they were down this year with the losses of LSU and Tennessee as well as the close win against NWern.

Cincinatti is really proving that they were a legitimate National Championship contender this year. 30 - 3 in this close one right now.

Props to Ohio State today, nice win.
That LSU/PSU game was the worst field I have seen in a long time, maybe THE worst I've seen played on.

Tebow started 12/12....then ended the first half 20/24 for 320 yards and 3TDs. Niiiiicce.

That undefeated Cincy team is tough, they got the shaft not getting a shot at the title.

Did they win ???? They beat that undefeated and screwed out of a shot at the title Cincy team like that hooker beat the Sham Wow guy. Cincy really should be playing for a title, I don't want to not give proper credit for that accomplishment of beating a host of nobodys all season so let's crown them King of the Overrated Nobodys.

Now wait till Notre Dame realizes they got sold a bill of goods in their hiring of a coach whose team goes undefeated when playing 3rd tier programs but gets crushed when they play a real program

One of the have nots was Given a chance at the big time and Tebow and company took them behind the woodshed.

When your schedule looks like this you shouldn't be too proud of being undefeated , oh wait they aren't undefeated after playing Florida the only real team they faced all year.

Any comments fromt the gallery now? Auburn has to go to OT to beat perennial Big10 basement-dweller Northwestern, and LSU loses to Big10 third place team Penn State? It appears that the SEC isn't quite as dominant (especially over my Big10) as some might have first thought, eh?

    Go Buckeyes!

I still say the SEC is top heavy with 2-3 good teams and the rest, blah! I never bought the crap about the best team from any of the other conferences being only as good as 6th place in the SEC. Big 10 is looking pretty good this bowl season, Mountain West looks the best, PAC 10 looks the worst, or maybe the Big East. ACC, just a notch below the SEC in my opinion.
    So overall I would say:
MWC>Big10>SEC>ACC>Big East>PAC 10. Big 12, I don't know where to place them. somewhere below Big 10, and above Big East.
I was looking at the LSU Rivals board last night, the fans there should buy the excuses in bulk at Costco, it could potentially save enough money to hire a better coach. Fortunately for the players there is apparently never been a team that cuold beat LSU, the simply give the game away, or have it stolen by refs!
    GO CANES!!!

It wasn't ugly in my opinion. That was by far the most entertaining game of the bowls so far. The goal line stand at the end was a thing of beauty!

Cincinnati has the same bowl record as LSU in 2010.

Was a pretty ugly game, I'll grant you that.

Yeah, my friend and I anticipated that from the LSU crowd, but to the credit of the Tiger Fans on fchat they have been pretty standup about the whole thing, especially Sparta...

I guess the thing that shocks me is that the SEC had two opposing teams' kickers miss game winning FG's inside the 40 against them (Northwestern and ECU) or they would be 4-6 vice 6-4 overall, BUT to thier credit, sending 10 teams to bowl games is insane.

My Big10 friends and I are pissing and moaning sending 7 teams, because MINN and MichST were both 6-6 entering bowl games and we always said if you don't have a winning record you should never be invited to a bowl game, and I still believe that.

My other quick point (that I am sure would be supported by the SEC fans), is that the Mountain West may be 4-0, but hey, if we only sent our four best SEC or Big10 teams to bowls we would probably be 4-0 too, try sending 10 like the SEC did, or 7 or 8 like the Big10 or Big12...

    'Nuff said.

17 points was just a tad conservative, don't you think? I don't think the regular Cincinatti team showed up today. Or at least they certainly did not look like any other Cincinatti team that played this year..........

Just saw Gary Patterson, the TCU coach. They had just completed their 15th practice since coming to Glendale, Arizona a little over a week ago. He said they wanted to become acclimated to the climate there, thinner air and all. Says it will be a very tight game. He gives Boise all the respect in the world and says his guys will have to play the best football of their collegiate careers to beat them.

I am going out and predicting 31-17 TCU. Any other thoughts on the outcome of this one? The spread seems to be between 7 and 7.5 but I am going to go out and say that the TCU running game will account for more trouble to Boise and then screen and short crossing routes will account for points. And don't forget that Andy Dalton has passed for 22 touchdowns while having three runners with over 600 yards each and he has over 500 yards rushing himself. In the BYU game 14 different Horned Frog players ran with the football in the game for almost 400 yards rushing. They are the only team playing in any of the bowl games whose offense and defense both rate in the top 5. Makes their game plan very well balanced. The defense can stop plays and the offense can make them.....

Now my neck is on the block...............Go Frogs

And look, even the iconic smiling faces are purple......

I think TCU will win by about 13 points, something like 41-28. I saw about 15 seconds of the Sugar Bowl when Tebow threw an 80 yard completion to make the score some ridiculous amount. Nice for him to go out with a win also, next year should be more challenging for Florida post Tebow and Strong.
I'm hoping Miami can continue making a 2 game improvement each year (two years ago we were 5-7, last year 7-6, this year 9-4). 11-2 or 12-2 next year would be a great thing.

Must have 7 wins to go....And the conference is not flooded with teams like yours is. Besides that, you have said all season long that they are weak teams in Mountain West...How can weak teams do so well against such super teams as you speak of? If your conference only consisted of 8 teams I doubt you could send 10 teams to bowls also. You have to be in the top of the conference to go represent it. Point of reference:
    1. TCU defeated Clemson at Clemson who went on to win their bowl game.
    2. TCU defeated SMU, who went on to win their conference and their bowl game.
    3. TCU defeated BYU at home, who was rated in the top 25 and won their bowl game..
    4. TCU defeated Utah, who was rated 18 at the timne, and won their bowl game.
    5. TCU defeated Air Force at Colorado Springs, who defeated Houston in the Armed Forces Bowl.
    6. TCU defeated Wyoming, who won their bowl game..

True, they are not major bowl games but they were represented by some pretty good teams. And TCU still has to show up and play very good ball to defeat Boise State again to count their season as a success. Monday night at 7pm central on Fox.....

I absolutely knew that Florida would come back and really take it to Cincinatti at the Sugar Bowl. They are too proud a team to go down without giving their all. And Tebow wanted to go out with a good showing also. They certainly did that........I believe they are still better than Texas.....and I live in Texas and will root for them against Alabama, vainly.
