You cannot consider the Mountain West a fluke season type of conference. They have had the best conference winning percentage int he bowl games of any conference in 4 of the last 6 years. If anything the MWC winner should get an automatic BCS bid. The AFC (all Florida conference which includes UM, FSU, and UF) is still the best in the land during my adult life.

First of gotta say that The Gators Rule! I know Bama is a good team but don't believe that if Florida had played the quality of game they did in the Sugar Bowl that there would be a different SEC champion. It is obvious that Cincinatti (the big East for that matter) was probably over rated and Bama is a far better team than the Bearcats I think Florida flopped on their face for the SEC title game.

Now on to more important issues. No doubt in my mind the Mountain West is a pretty damn good conference. 3 top 25 teams is undeniable. Boise State needs to get out o the WAC! (which overall is pretty wack.) after reading the previous posts from TCU fans all I have to say is wait until the game is over. I went to the last BSU Fiesta bowl and all of the Oklahoma fans were discounting the Broncos. #1 offence in the nation. Steller D. Explosive special teams. One of the top coaches in the nation. (congrats to Patterson on the coach of the year award) but the only other coach in the nation better than Chris Petersen is a guy from a small school named Urban Myer. I know someones going to ask that of he is so good why doesn't he go to a bigger BCS school? The answer is easy. Why would he? He has an opportunity to do something that maybe hasn't been done since Penn State hired Joe Pa. Bring a mid level program up to the level of national promanance that is enjoyed by the likes of Oklahoma, LSU and the like. He has revived a 19% raise every year he has been here and just scored a 35% base pay raise for him and his staff. The Broncos barley lost last years game vs TCU and it has eaten him alive. Watch out guy the game planning king is coming for you tonight! Coach Pete won't play a single snap of this game but we will have the nations top rated QB and his arsenal on the field.

To quote Idaho's coach watch this game because " you are going to see something good"

    GO BRONCOS!!!!!!!!!!!

TCU and Boise are not playing BCS level football tonight. Sloppy, sloppy play.

Awful playcalling by both squads (e.g. long balls downfield on first possessions deep in their own territory).

TCU has called terrible plays, such as QB-sneaking their 2nd string QB when their starting QB was down...easy way to suddenly need your 3rd string QB when both get hurt.

In fact, the play that took down Dalton was terrible by TCU, as they motioned away their *blind-side* lineman. There's a whole movie about blind side linemen out right now...I doubt that TCU's Patterson would understand it even if he watched it, though.

Very dissappointed in their bowl play. Dalton could have easily thrown 3 interceptions in the 1st half, including the first pass of the game.

The score is currently (10-7) closer than the gameplay indicates. Boise is showing as a much stronger team than TCU thus far.

Very disappointed. Lousy, really, truly, entirely lousy playcalling turned TCU 1 dimensional. Plus, far too many penalties for an end-of-season game.

Sloppy game overall. This will hurt Boise and TCU both in the rankings next season.

Well, Dalton's value in the draft has dropped a bit...

Ugly game on both sides, some questionable calls (but not an overwhelming factor). Dropped passes and tips will haunt the Horned Frogs dreams for a while. The only real spark in the game was the fake.

Well I got part of my prediction right. I predicted that Boise would score 17. Nailed that one. Also predicted 31 for TCU. Missed that one big time.

I have to agree with Dr. Tommy, TCU was not TCU tonight. But that does not matter. They should have been up for this game and they were not sharp. In fact, their rush was non-existant. Gary Patterson took the hit himself on national TV when he said he should have cut one day off the practice schedule. He felt his guys were tired and should have been allowed a days rest to get ready. They had 15 practices in the 8 days they were in Arizona. He also said that he was outcoached this game. He is straightforward and does not place blame where it is not deserved.

The game was actually very close. Both teams had a little over 300 yards total offense, one rushing touchdown each and one field goal each. The difference being the interception TD in the first quarter. But then, one play makes a huge difference in an awful lot of games and this one really cost TCU big time.

Congratulations Boise State, you finished with a fine season. The only Division 1 team other than Ohio State to ever finish 14-0. And TCU, you have nothing to walk away in disgrace over. Conference champion, and a perfect 12-0 regular season for the first time since 1938.

Even though he was off his usual game tonight, Andy Dalton became the record holder for the most yards passing in a career at TCU. And he will be back next year for his senior year.........

Am I disappointed? Certainly. Did either team play well enough tonight to put up an argument for being national champion? No they did not, even with Boise going 14-0...

They weren't tired. They were wired. But instead of calming down the Frogs with simple rushing plays, y'all were calling long bomb pass plays from the 1st play of the game.

That's not how it's done if you want to win.

Way too many penalties, too. This was the last game of their season! You're supposed to have little things like illegal motion ironed out by this point. Plus, those are penalties that you get when you are wired, not tired.

Bear Bryant had the Crimson Tide doing full contact practice in pre-game warm-ups. He didn't let up. We're *not* talking about having a day off to rest up...they were going full speed prior to the actual game on game day!

And he won. Championship after championship.

Guess by your summary of the game the there is no chance that Boise State is a better football team than TCU. You know what I don't have to say anything more. Out coached out played. Bring on next year.

Whoa there fella! I haven't made a comment about the MWC ever on Fchat. I am not saying they are a weak conference at all; just saying sending four teams to bowl games makes it hard to determine how good they really are...

I have a cousin that went to Clemson who lives here in DC with me, and once again they choked like dogs down the stretch, and beating Kentucky isn't really something I would write home about. The other teams you mention, SMU, Utah, BYU, and Air Force don't really get a lot of respect nationally regardless of how good they are...not trying to disagree with you, just saying it's hard to go to a bar in anytown, USA and brag that you beat those teams.

In any case, they had a great year. Congrats.

Wouldn't be surprised now to see Florida at the 2 spot in the final BCS standings.

The horned frogs blew it last night. Welcome to the club!
I did not understand the drive that went great passing for about 60 yards. Once they got in the red zone they abandone the pass for a bunch of QB keepers on the option that all get stuffed. It was like one of those Heisman attempts...
Strange game. Good season for both teams though.
