I think they like to keep the actual location pretty quiet for obvious reasons but a google search will reveal that not only is Jon Shirley an avid collector, vintage racer and Ferrari guy but he is also a past president of Microsoft which is located in the Seattle area. Many of his cars have placed very well in various concourse events and in various vintage racing events. I always love to see a guy who enjoys his toys!
My garage renovation is finally finished. Finally got the place cleaned up and most of the cars home. (#6067 is at the shop for some winter updating). Everything works well. All the sportscars can fit on the top racks and be lifted to full height with the new ceiling. I now have room for one more..... I took some pics this weekend, but having trouble uploading.

Yep, they changed the face of Moto-Cross. My '07 has the Hot Wheels graphics kit. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I can vouch for that, I saw him running his TR prototype, and Maserati 300S around a track all weekend, this past summer.
It was actually a BMW CCA event that I went to a couple of years ago in Seattle. The F40 and F50 were not part of the big garage collection it was stored in another smaller collection but it was within walking distance. Some more photos. note: someone told me that the green one was one of only two in the world...not sure he was right or not. Maybe someone here with more knowledge knows for sure? Yeah, my wife wants me to get the toys out of the garage so she has a place to park I am running out of excuses why I need to keep them in there, (I'm working on it, I need to detail it, diesels start hard in the cold, etc..)
I've been fortunate to see those great car collections a number of times. Greg's green car is a 1957 Aston Martin DBR2/2. There were only two of these race cars built and BOTH are in the Seattle area.
Looks great and I love the Lotus. If you guys haven't owned one yet... you guys have to get out and do it. It is a PURE driving experience. I really want to go back out and purchase another one. I previously had a graphite grey elise which I believe your car is graphite grey as well. I LOVE that color and is super rare to begin with, and an exiege is even more difficult to come by.
One of the best existing garages is pictured in the 2003 Ferrari Yearbook and belongs to the Swiss industrialist Jean-pierre Slavic. For copyright reasons I prefere not to publish the pic, but I can mail it to anyone who feels brave enough to challenge the Ferrari lawyers and show it here...
Nice dude.. thanks for the post. The silver one (74?) brings back such fond memories!! I think I still have my leathers.. I may have to pick one of theses up! Paul
